These are the best chicken waterer cups
I love the fact that the chickens can drink freely and don't have to peck something to release water. They are sturdy and are worth the money! I have used them on newly hatched seramas. I highly recommend them.

Super simple and works
Very easy to install. Didn't have the required 11/32 drill bit, but wiggling a 5/16 around worked fine. Like others said, don't overtighten and you'll have no leaks the first time. The ladies took about 2 minutes to investigate and start drinking from the cups.

Fairly easy to install, chickens love them, but reliability can be an issue.
My chickens took to these watering cups right away - its great they don't have to peck at anything to initiate the flow of water. I installed 4 cups around the outside of 48" sections of 4" diameter schedule 40 PVC pipe. which worked out well. They do tend to collect debris in the base of the cup, but they are easily washed out with a hose or garden sprayer. When these products work, they are great, unfortunately, it seems some cups do leak due to faulty stem mechanisms. While it is definitely a pain to reinstall or wait for replacement cups, Backyard Backyard's customer service is excellent - they are extremely responsive and helpful.A few tips for install :1) DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN connections. This is especially important when attaching the cup to the elbow - if you overtighten this connection, the metal pin will get stuck and won't stop the water from flowing. Same with the seals, if you crush the washers, they will leak.2) Use plumbers tape on every threaded surface to create a better seal.3) Drill your hole as perpendicular as you can to the surface. These work better on a thicker walled material. Non level/sagging cups will leak.4) Attach the cup to the elbow BEFORE connecting the assembly to the container, the cup won't clear the wall of the container so you can't install it after the elbow has been connected.

Make ANY container an awesome waterer!
So the typical waterer I've found that my chicks walk in it, poop in it, and worst of all kick hay or bedding and poop and whatever else in it as they scratch for treats. This makes it really hard to keep their water CLEAN. The container is a pain to clean and inevitably spills water everywhere. I found this NO PECK waterer cup product online, it was cheaper than any waterer I've found with similar heads so I figured I'd build my own! I found a container (gallon pitcher for 4 bucks) with a lid that won't create a vacuum but will keep their fluff butts OUT of the clean water as well as their feces and bedding material. If they happen to poop in it, you flick the yellow float back, clean out the cup (soak up the water and debris with a towel) and it's cleaned, flip the floater back and tada! Happy girls! It is also so much easier to fill and clean than a typical waterer and this is a no peck style so the girls took to it without worry. I've only git the 2 chicks but I can add more heads as needed. So far so good. No leaks. It's just an awesome product. Very happy.

They leak
Bought 3 packs of the 6ct about half of them had to be spun so tight on the t fitting and they still drip a little. 1 out of 18 wouldn’t shut off the valve and the cup just over fills. They should include a 1/8” plug in case one leaks. I’ll update after a few more days

Easy to install; but defective after some months use.
Really works well for full grown chickens. It's easy to install.Update:March 17th 2021After using it for maybe 6-8 months 1 out of 2 stopped working and would empty the bucket. Was able to hack it by putting a stone underneath the moving lip, so it does not overflow the water in the cup.

Great Product
I bought this in preparation for winter. I definitely do not want to be refilling a small watering can all winter.. I used a 5 gallon bucket with a sealed lid. Let's just say this was a great idea! I have attached a few pictures to give an idea of scale and what it looks like installed. The only issue I ran into was how low the cups sit when installed. The directions state to leave the cups at least two inches from the bottom of the bucket, however if you do leave them at two inches the bucket will rest on the cups and bend them. I would recommend installing them 3.5 inches from the bottom to give plenty of clearance. Other than that this is a great product and there will basically no learning curve for the chickens. As far as installation goes, it was pretty straight forward and I used thread tape on all connections just to be sure.

Excellent water feeder, much better than the "peck" version.
We have used the "peck" version for about a month now and were not confident the chickens were able to get sufficient water as the feeders never appeared full without manually pressing the yellow peg (so left a water bucket in coop to make sure they had enough water). These "float feeders" stay filled as they operate by a "Float" mechanism. You can use the supplied wing nuts or if you use PVC tubing with adapters they are the same thread so it was easy to replace them. Great product!
