Oh dear! 🤦🏻♀️ It’s been a marathon 🏃♀️
Ok, let’s start at the beginning, product review... The slats that I’ve now fitted to my sons bed are of good quality for the price. Don’t expect the quality of the higher standard of beech slats, if you want them then pay the extra money. However, they’re well made, are sturdy and match the slats originally fitted to the bed. Now, the issue... When ordering the slats I made use of the free cutting service (I have an immunity disease which prevents me from using many hand tools, inc. a hand saw). The first set of slats delivered looked awful. The person who’d cut the slats to size produced some seriously shoddy work with thick blue pen marks on the slats where he’d cut to the side of the line, there were splinters hanging off the ends where the cut was done badly, no effort to sand the edges had been made. Thankfully this person had also measured them up wrongly and sent me slats measuring 607mm. I contacted CottonBud, told them of the problem and sent pictures of the error. No problem, they sent an apology and had another set sent out to me that was going to be cut to 656mm (my required length). The second set looked much better and were of a good quality. I was so happy with them, but something just didn’t look right...They were far too long. This time CottonBud hadn’t even bothered to cut them to size for me. I’d been sent the full size uncut slats! So again I contacted them, I waited for a response but none came, I then recontacted them as to what they suggested as a solution.(They were already aware that I’m one of the many ‘vulnerable’ isolating people during this covid pandemic, and unable to use tools that require ‘effort’.)I finally got a response suggesting that I either get someone to cut them for me (remember, I’m in isolation so can’t have people round), or, wait until I can leave the house and send them back via the post office to receive another set that’d ‘be cut to size’.Well, not a very good solution me thinks.... when will I be able to leave the house to visit a post office???So, being someone who enjoys diy and could always quite proficiently turn my hand to most things, I now need tools and equipment to help me carry on. So knowing that I have a few projects coming up to do on days when I’m well enough, I bit the bullet and bought myself a brand new table saw. These are now the most expensive bed slats ever😵😱.So, on reflection, if you want to buy slats from CottonBud, I strongly suggest not using their cutting service but order the full size making sure you can cut them yourself. For info:- on using a table saw for the first time ever, I cut the slats precisely AND sanded down the edges, which only required softening of the edges as the cut was so smooth. So how is it that someone who’s employed to use a saw on a daily basis, is totally unable to measure correctly and sends out such shoddy unfinished work that looks so completely rough? On top of that, during my contact with them, the messages themselves, at times, took some deciphering, bad English with very little punctuation. But they did keep in contact. However, after the last one I just gave up with them and decided that I’d done all I could, and had given them plenty of opportunity to fix their problem. So decided that I’d give a fair product review, as the problem isn’t with the slats themselves, but also share my experience of the use of their free cutting service and customer support during these times. The slats... they’re now happily fitted to my sons bed and you can’t tell the difference, and I have an awesome new table saw that I’ve been pondering on for some time now.

Thank you Amazon!
I quickly needed to replace some slats on 2 single beds ready for guests arriving in 3 days! I went straight to Amazon and found them. They were delivered really quickly (not with Prime) and I found them easy to install very sturdy great value for money because they sell them in a pk of 4 and everything was ready for my guests. One very happy customer. Thank you Amazon!

Does the job it needs to
Received item today and put them straight into my sons bed it’s much sturdier and the mattress doesn’t fall through the gaps anymore. So I’m happy with my purchase. My son is autistic and jumps on his bed almost every night so a few slats have been broken here and there these seem sturdy enough but for the price even if they do break I’m not overly concerned as I can just order more.

No spares from IKEA, so come here.
Fitted the IKEA Lysicke (think that's how it's spelt) perfectly. After a month of use, it works fine. As IKEA don't seem to do replacements, you have no choice but to buy these, good on this supplier in doing so. You do have to cut the length to size, but the width as and bend is correct. I suppose this would be suitable for other products requiring different lengths. The only bugbear is the minimum order of slats, but price is not bad, just have to find space to store the spares!

Value and service
Excellent service, cut to size needed.this reat value for the money. This is my second purchase. Have strengthened a cheap bed by putting extra slats between existing ones.

Perfect replalcement
How do you break a bed slat? Probably not a question to answer in an Amazon review. However, replacing it was really easy. I had to cut it to length using one existing slat as a template, then simply slotted it into the existing plastic holder. An invisible repair; really pleased

Not 53mm wide, as described
When they arrived and I put them next to the slats on the bed, it was immediately obvious they were narrower. Sure enough the replacement slats measure 51mm (not the 53mm, as advertised) and therefore do not sit tightly in the plastic end clips. Not particularly impressed with this product
