I bought 2 since they were such a great price. I've ordered 4 or 5 things from Bonka recently and everything has been good. I always, always rinse any of these brightly colored toys off. You'd be amazed how much of that dye you can bleed off before you give it to your precious birds. I wasn't sure which of my birds this would be sized for, but I have 12 to choose from, so I knew it would be appropriate for someone. My ringnecks got them. I knew my Alexandrine or Grey would reduce it to toothpicks in 5 minutes. It's not very thick or hard wood. However even if the Ringnecks had shredded it in 5 minutes, (They didn't, they've been gnawing for a week now) I wouldn't mark it down on stars, that's what I bought it for. I see so many parrot toys getting bad reviews because their bird killed it in a day. That's just the nature of the beast, combined with it being a toy that probably wasn't the proper size for the bird! Parrots are voracious chewers and some days mine chew a lot because they simply adore the toy, or sometimes they don't and could care less. It worries me more if they don't chew it up, I prefer to know they're happy, busy and enriched. I always have a box of new toys to switch it up and keep them occupied. It's so much easier to keep them from ever starting bad habits like screaming, biting or plucking, than it is to try and get them to stop once the habit is established.Anyhow, good toy for medium-smallish parrots, and for a great price! Just remember, rinse that excess dye off! Their liver will thank you for it!
