Turned my exercise bike into a smart bike!
Like others I was a bit sceptical of this device. These kinds of things are usually a nightmare for connectivity and even if the hardware works, the app is usually rubbish... However, this was really easy to set up. Essentially it is two magnetic sensors that count the frequency of a magnet passing by. One magnet goes on the crank and the cadence sensor counts the RPM - how fast you're peddling. The other magnet goes on the wheel and the speed sensor counts the number of revolutions and converts that into a rough speed. The hardware is very simple and works well. The instructions are pretty good and clear enough, and the tolerance on the magnets is big enough that you don't really need to line everything up exactly. The connectivity is also good. The firmware is a standard Bluetooth/ANT+ Speed and Cadence Sensor, which is a defined standard so it will work with pretty much any app or brand out of the box. Three spins wakes the sensor up, and then it appears immediately on my Garmin watch (ANT+ connectivity) and iPad (Bluetooth). There are no rubbish manufacturer apps required. It just connects straight to your app of choice (I've used Wahoo and Zwift with good results). I don't actually own a bike - I bought this to use with a indoor exercise bike since I wanted to connect to apps without shelling out £600+ for a Bluetooth-connected exercise bike. The cadence sensor worked well from the beginning - I just put the magnet on the crank and stuck the sensor to the casing of the exercise bike. I did have issues with the speed sensor but to be fair, it's not designed to be used with an exercise bike and I was able to sort it out. Since it's expecting to be mounted to a bike wheel - which is geared to spin much faster than you're pedalling - the speed sensor was only picking up 60-80 rpm which translates to a really slow wheel speed (about 10 kph even when I was pedalling furiously). What I ended up doing was attaching two of the included magnets at 12 and 6 o'clock either side of the crank axle (on the bolts that connect the axle to the belt wheel on my bike). Now, with each turn of the pedal, the cadence sensor is triggered once by the magnet attached to the crank, and the speed sensor is triggered twice by the magnets on the belt wheel - as if it were a bike wheel geared at 2:1. That gives me a decent speed whether I'm recording on my watch, with Wahoo, or using it for Zwift. I'm amazed that this hack works so well but I think that's a testament to how good this sensor is - it works well even for the things it wasn't designed for. So top marks all round - a cheap and easy alternative to a smart bike!

Great dual sensor.
Good price for a dual sensor. Easy to fit with simple connectivity. Paired to head unit and Garmin watch easily. Accuracy appears very good.

Works with Suunto
Works as advertised. East to pair with Suunto watches. Cable ties could be stronger.

Does what it's supposed to!
Seems ok. Installation is quite straightforward, and if you are worried it might be nicked, it's pretty discrete, so unless people know it's quite unlikely. Sadly, if someone does know what it is then it's a fairly easy one to walk off with so tie it down well! Works with my 107, although I still don't know why I need to know cadence, it's there if I ever want it! Early days, if this post is still the same 6 months down the line, then you know it's still good!

Add to a basic exercise bike for great features!
Just added this to my iDeer Life exercise bike and it works a treat! The bike already has a magnet on the crank that is used for the computer that came with the bike and the same magnet will trigger both the cadence and speed sensor of the CooSpoo! It works great with the Wahoo app on my iPad, I just searched for the sensor in the app and added it, setting the wheel circumference to 4.400m which gives distance and speed measurements that match the bike’s on computer (note the sensor ‘wakes up’ once you start pedalling so you will need to to this first in order for the sensor to be found by the app). Now I’ve got distance and cadence measurement on my exercise bike and can log all my rides using the Wahoo app! (Tip: I suggest getting the Wahoo heart rate monitor to complete the setup, it works a treat!)

Good but annoying
Once connected to my device it’s great however I need to remove the battery for it to work each time. Basically it doesn’t wake up when peddling. The battery is located on the inside next to the wheel so it’s a bit of a pain and waste valuable time. I emailed their support and have asked for a video so that’s good start.

Decent bit of kit
This little gadget is well worth it! I was a little dubious about getting something decent for 16.99 when many of the rivals are at least twice the price but it's ideal for me. It took about 10min to set up. The instructions are decently translated into English with helpful, simple, diagrams. Initially I tried to connect it directly to my android phone - no joy! Then I remembered reading your meant to connect to it via an app - downloaded Wahoo app and 2 minutes later it was up and running! (Just remember to pedal while it's searching for the Bluetooth!) I'm using it for an indoor bike on a very old very basic turbo... And essentially it's meant I have all the capability now of a far fancier turbo and bike computer. Very pleased.

Very fragile, not strong enough for even light use.
Reasonably straightforward to fit. Linked with the Cadence app and worked inside and outdoors. The plastic seems to be very brittle and the speed sensor arm broke off after just 6 weeks use (only three rides per week of an hour or so). The break is at the pivot point where the speed sensor arm is attached to the unit. It was not over tightened or strained in any way by me and was not struck by a spoke or the magnet.

Used this as a cheap replacement for a broken Garmin sensor. Not bad but cadence sensor keeps dropping out of signal and flimsy build quality.

Le kit livré contient tous les éléments pour assurer un montage soigné sur le vélo. Reconnu facilement par le gps ant+ et Bluetooth, dans les paramètres. Il faut fouiller un peu mais on y arrive facilement.
