Although this clock is easy to read it is nearly impossible to set the correct time.Oh, you can ATTEMPT to read the instructions but they are so minuscule you need a magnifying glass.And trying to utilize the three buttons is as far from intuitory as you could get.My wife and I are intelligent, late middle-aged persons with considerable electronics experience but this clock is simply woeful.One tip: If you do decide to purchase it (and we both STRONGLY urge that you do not), make sure you keep fresh batteries in it as back up to the AC as you will never, ever want to mess with setting it again.UPDATE: Attempting to install batteries ( which, by the way, requires FOUR not two AAA, not AA). I could not install two of the batteries as some internal component was in the way. I opened the case by removing the four screws. I was able to move what appeared to be a miniature power transformer, but then I could not move this thing in such a way as to recluse the case. At some point it appears that the meniscal wire over heated and the soldered joint melted rendering the clock useless.This thing is WORSE than junk. Amazon should be ashamed to offer such crap.I tossed the whole thing in the trash. Exceedingly disappointed.

I like the look of the clock and the USB power input. It shipped direct from China and it is remarkably light (although I didn't bother with a battery, since it can't run on battery but is instead a backup). Without a power supply in there, I suppose it's just a chip and a display screen. And that's fine. Unfortunately for me, one of the buttons was dead. The one you use to set the clock. I don't plan on using this for anything but a clock to read at a distance. So I waited until the stroke of midnight and plugged it in. So yeah, it's working for me this way, but in retrospect...

It wasn't easy finding a simple, easy to read digital clock with pleasing blue digits whose brightness can be adjusted to "just right." Unfortunately, the clock runs fast and has to be frequently reset to the exact time. Worse, if you want to use the alarm function—or just want to get the clock off military time—you'll need the instructions, because this little unassuming device could not be less intuitive! The only thing more frustrating than needing the instructions just to figure out the alarm is realizing you need instructions for the instructions! The manufacturer must have saved a lot of money printing them single-sided on a 4x5.5" sheet of glossy paper in 7 pt. type. Best to look at them online on your Amazon orders page, because there's no branding on the clock or the instructions to help locate the actual product page from the manufacturer's website. We recommend this product only if you're desperate for a simple digital display while you look for something more reliable and easy to use.

We purchased one for our bedroom it was delivered on time and we liked the display dimming feature. We haven’t used it as an alarm clock. We liked it so well we ordered another one for our family room. We are very pleased with our purchase.

I got the clock with blue LED. It's so dim you can only see it in a dark room. The instructions are printed so small I needed a magnifying glass to read it. Also it doesn't sit firmly on the legs (little bumps on the bottom) so it teeters around when you touch it. I would advise against getting this.

This takes the one two punch for a terrible clock. First, battery powered is far from truth - more like battery waster. Eats four AA batteries in under 6 days. Second, the “voice/sound activated” is the most annoying thing for a clock to have. Can only see the time when you yell at the clock or hit the table it is on. Does not just the time unless a noise “wakes it”. Just do not buy, I urge you

The display is barely readable. The alarm module was blocking the battery path due to improperly being glued. The wires that were soldered to the main board looked like an eight year old did the job. Don't waste your money on this junk.

Not what I expected for the price. It's very light weight and flimsy and instructions are a bit confusing. Can't remove/shut completely off the alarm feature. It just goes on every day... annoying.
