Nostalgic piece of American history
I am so grateful that I personally did not have to use this guide and I am even more grateful that this guide was made available during the period in America where it was not safe to travel freely due to the social economic reality of the time.

Great resource
Amazing how many places are listed and shameful how many aren’t. I’ve brought it along for the drive from Texas to Florida and then to Louisiana before returning to Texas. Sad that this was essential not long ago.

The Greenbook For Negro Motorist
I love it. It is put together with exceptional, clarity. This Work is unmatchable in expressing the reality of everyday, racism in this country. Where Black Families couldn't just travel they had to be careful about every aspect of travel in this country for their safety and for their dignity; and this work was designed to protect that safety and that dignity.
