The media could not be loaded.  Instructions were relatively clear, but I'm not familiar with furniture assembly, so it was extra hard for me. Youll need a screwdriver for the bed slats, but otherwise everything is hex tool.My daughter is a disabled adult, is 5'5", and around 140lbs. Her mattress is a hybrid of coil and memory foam. The bed has held up very well so far.The storage underneath is great for books, and other stuff. Some pillows and a tv fit too, so she can get under in her own little space and watch what she wants.This has definitely increased the amount of usable space in her room!The only drawback being that she can't really sit properly, and the bed itself is very heavy, being solid wood.

This loft bed is perfect, I have a little boy who’s 4 and the bed is so sturdy I have zero worries. It’s great for small spaces. Honestly it wasn’t that hard to put together either just time consuming.

This bed is amazing for my 5 year old girl! Her room is wayyyy small and lacks floor space! We have constantly battled messy rooms that she can never seem to keep clean -- yes I know, shes 5! But we needed a solution because the lack of space made it always look messy no matter what. So when it was time to upgrade from her tiny toddler bed, we got this... it has been set up for one month now and her room has been clean for almost the whole month! She has play AND storage space now! Also, shipping was FAST. Like WAY faster than expected.

A little difficult to assemble needs 2 people. Super super sturdy i bought it because i think bhg has really sturdy furniture at an affordable price i have big kids that always seem to break stuff. This is for my 5 year old and should last long because we've all been in it at 150 lbs+ and it felt very sturdy and stable doesnt wobble easy to climb incredible amount of storage space underneath my daughter can fit all her stuff under there i could probably even fit her clothes if i wanted. Those storage cubes fit perfectly as do plastic storage boxes. Plus there is plenty of room for her to play underneath. A great way to maximize space.

My son's room is very small so going with this kind of bed was perfect for the space. He is 11 years old. I'm sure he'll grow out of in a couple years but he loves it and works perfect for now, especially because he has made his little chill space underneath. We actually got some of the ideas from other photos we saw in the reviews before we purchased it.A friend put it together for us but it seemed like a smooth process.A couple of the screws don't stay screwed in so that's not good but it hasn't kept the bed from staying together.I love how we can maximize the space in his room and use the bottom shelf for the storage cubes. He has tons of Legos and it's great for storage.Pleased with the purchase thus far.

The bed came in a well packaged box and each part (aside from L) was labeled with a small sticker. Instructions are easy to follow and it takes about 2 hours to complete (for me anyway). I've purchased the same bed for our son and found early on that you should have your cordless drill with a Hex set as it will save you a lot of time. Also, the 100mm Screws with Bolts will strip if you don't thread them fully. It's worth the extra 30 seconds.Great bed. Kids love it and the storage underneath makes an added bonus play area.

My 12 year old son needed some more room j. His bedroom. This worked perfect. We fit two bean bag chairs under and the shelves offer so much extra storage.It came with easy to understand directions and even with the "help" of my 2 year old I put this together fairly quickly. Of coarse it would of went faster if I didn't have to keep looking for pieces my little one helped with. LolAnyways I would strongly recommend this product.

This bed is super cute. I love the shelving underneath, to house toys and things... it definitely reduces potential clutter (for now, at least... we're talking about a 5 year old's room though, so I'm sure he'll find a way). I was able to put it together by myself in about two hours (for reference, I'm 34 y/o, 4'11 and 110lbs). It wasn't exceptionally difficult, however, it would have been exponentially easier having a second person to hold pieces up. I had to get creative with the long bed frame pieces, by using chairs to support them while I attached the head of the bed. It also didn't help having a sleepy old doggy always underfoot, making it a little more difficult to navigate and not drop anything on him. There were also some screws that were right next to the railings, which made tightening them a little tedious, because I didn't have full range of motion with my hex wrench. Overall.. seems like a great bed so far (it's only been three days). I was able to climb up and lay in without hearing any creaks or feeling any wobbles. I love how much bigger it makes the room feel.
