I like these "24 hour book series"
I like these "24 hour book series", that can be read over 7 or 14 days easily. IOS is moving really fast as mobile development has now become a must know for any developer. I especially likes the way Jessie deals with Blocks in hour 20 - simply put for the beginner. In hour 22, Jessie shows how to write GCD, although its simplicity is demonstrated, although there is more to GCD it gives a beginner enough as a starting point although more examples would be helpful.I was able to go through some of the hours(chapters) in mere minutes, giving on the feeling of accomplishing much within less than an hour, bonus! If you really want to learn Objective -C, then get this book.It will move you through the basics of Objective C with examples and enable you to start building apps quickly (gotta have a Macintosh to make things work :-) )

this is a terrible book, really I don't understand why it has such a good review
This book entangles the new comer with complicated concepts, very little trying up examples; being incomplete or shallow in doing by learning which used to be the plus of the 21days/24hours Sams Series.Instead of going step by step showing you really useful stuff, from most simple to complex; jumps from one topic to another, suggesting you to jump to different chapters and si. So far 7 chapters read and still not real useful code or interesting examples; explaining certain things that yes, can be useful but very far for what it means to be. Horrible. Period.

Works well … as titled!
This book continues to support one’s programming efforts, even after one thinks one’s learned it all. Strongly recommend as a continuing reference.
