Really surprised at all the 1 star reviews. Mine was rock solid and probably over done on the quality to be honest. I know we are all used to getting gaskets with the crap at the big box stores, but my experience with all of them is that they all leak. This will not leak when installed properly with thread sealant as originally designed.

Heavy gauge, solid brass trap made in USA... What a find! This is the real deal-industrial grade plumbing parts. These are marketed to professionals, hence the confusion of reviewers here: the ground joint needs to be assembled with a sealant or it will leak. If you need direction just email their customer service-they recommended a silicon sealer or pipe dope; i used pipe dope (usually used on pipe threads) with no problems. I was able to get everything i needed from them for a lifetime waste system. 5 stars for just an American company still making the same solid product for the last 100 years!

I bought a 1 1/4 drain and instead of keeping the existing trap hardware, decided to convert the system to full 1 1/4. Needless to say one of the p-traps had a small crack in the plastic that caused it to leak. Instead of going with plastic or PVC, I decided to convert the whole thing to metal to avoid issues with cracking. Upon initial inspection, I was very happy with how well the seals fit on the pipe, so I fit everything together, applied thead sealant to the threads, and tightened it all down. Not only does the metal look a lot better, but there are no more leaks. For anyone experiencing issues with this, it requires much more tightening than hand tightening, so grab some channel locks, and make sure you snug it down, and don't forget to put some type of sealant on the threads.

I was very careful to align the bell flange with the P-trap before tightening and tried various levels of tightening. But it leaks no matter what I do. The connection between the bell flange and the P-trap does not include any type of sealing washer -- just metal to metal.I sent an email to customer support asking if there is an easy way to fix the problem. They did not reply.

I have a house in the Philippines and a mouse chewed the plastic trap. This solved the problem. Very thick wall and high quality. Would recommend for any environment.

Install it properly with thread sealant, and it will not leak. I'm 3/3 so far in non-leak performance. Unfinished brass is great looking if an industrial vibe is desired and if not, and your pipes are hidden anyway - why not go with brass for durability/corrosion resistance?

Good price for a nice product. Ordered for every sink drain. Well made and solid. I'm happy and would buy again.

The media could not be loaded. Received this P trap Westbrass D400G-26 1-1/2" Tubular Ground Joint P-Trap with Bell Flange, Polished Chrome. The opening for the sink tailpiece is too small. I have several p traps, the 1-1/2 inch kitchen sink pipe easily fits in all of them but dies not fit this one., the opening is too small.
