Competent case for the Nexus 9, with some flaws
PLEASE NOTE! The keyboard shown in the pictures is NOT included in the Devicewear Slim Google Nexus 9 Case!I've tried both this and the MoKo Ultraslim Lightweight for the Nexus 9, and both have their pros and cons. The best features of this one, the Devicewear, is that it feels sturdy and secure, and that it adds some style to the otherwise anonymous Nexus tablet, with its faux-leather exterior. The front flap, when closed does not slide excessively as the MoKo does. The Devicewear however adds more thickness and heft than the MoKo. Also, when using the Devicewear in handheld mode, that is to say when the fron flap is folded back, the feel in the hand is a bit bulky, especially compared to the MoKo.Where the Devicewear really shines though is in its many possible viewing angles, one lying down, for easy typing on the virtual keyboard, and four or five standing angles, depending on if you count the steepest one, since it almost topples forward then.Another area that the devicewear works very good is with the Zagg Pocket Keyboard. It almost seems to be made for using together. Granted that the keyboard works best with no case at all, but this case is nevertheless very compatible.UPDATE:I have discovered that the case, especially when holding it in landscape mode it seems, and when the flap is folded onto the back of the unit, sometimes shuts off the screen. I couldn't figure this out at first, but then I realized that when you hold the front flap tight against the back of the unit, the built in magnets in the flap for shutting down the screen when closed, actually activate this function from the back! This is very annoying when watching YouTube for example and the pad suddenly goes black for no apparent reason. When releasing some of the pressure from the flap, the screen lights up again. This may not be a dealbreaker for me right now and is not reason enough to return it, but had I known this issue befor the purchase, I would have seriously reconsidered it. For this reason I took one star off, which leaves three stars from me.

95% of the way there! Great alternative for Speck foliostyle
This is probably the best case i've found for the Nexus 9. If you've used Specks' folio style cases you'll love this. 3 main positions you can prop your device in. The inside picks up lint pretty easily though so you'll want a screen protector just in case. So far the leather is holding up, but there's still a strange odor to it. It's not too off-putting but it is noticeable on your hands when you hold the device. When you prop the device up by tucking the flap under the Nexus, it does prevent the case from closing all the way unless you bend the flap backwards. Just a minor annoyance.Overall this is an awesome case. Durable, stylish, and practical. The only thing I wish it had was a clasp to keep the case shut. If it did, instant 10/5 stars.

High quality, and infinite angle adjustment
I had settled on StilGut for my previous tablets. Unfortunately, their design for the Nexus 9 is severely flawed by the need to detach part of the case to use it as a stand. The Devicewear case matches the principle of the old StilGuts... you can open it and set it up as a case in 5 seconds without having to fold the stupid thing into a triangle. And, you can infinitely adjust the angle. Construction is high quality; the packaging helps to convince you this is not another $5 case from a sweatshop in Asia, and I will pay an extra two bucks for that even if it is self-delusion. Has a minimal, pleasant smell at first... like new blue jeans maybe?. Certainly none of the harsh plastic smells you get in some others. 110% happy with the Devicewear Ridge Slim case for the Nexus 9.

Very nice case and does everything I wanted in a tablet case. Nice looking as well.
I was looking for a case that was easy to hold and had a way to stand it on its side when watching videos. This did the trick very well and looks very nice as well. Nexus 9 fits in the case like a glove, nice snug/secure fit. It has been everything I expected, works as described. I love the magnet that keeps it tightly closed when not in use. I would recommend this for anyone wanting an fairly priced case for their tablet. The only gripe I could possible come up with is the case is a little slick but I have not dropped the table because of that. I am just used to a little rougher case that I had on my Nexus 7. I wouldn't stop that from buying another one if needed some day.

Best case I ever bought
I bought a cheap case when I first got my Nexus 9 and it worked fine, it was a decent case but soon enough it kinda wore down. So I decide I'll finally step it up and buy a more expensive case and I hit a home run! This case is awesome! The magnets the hold the case shut are very strong. It's made well and sturdy. All the angles you can put the case in is a bonus and each angle is really stable. I tried to knock it over with no luck! If you don't mind paying a bit more, this case is worth it!

Simplicity at its best.
After regretting getting the magic cover, i decided to get something simple. I just needed something to protect my Nexus 9 and sand it up to watch movies, do work, or whatever. This devicewear case does the trick. It feels nice, its solid, its a good value. This thing beats the "magic cover" which costs a bit more and is currently serving as a overgrown fridge magnet. This case is not complicated and thats why its good.

Returning Customer
I had a Nexus 7 tablet that I had purchased the Devicewear case for, but unfortunately that tablet burned out on me for some reason. I then purchased a Nexus 9 at the replacement and immediately ordered a Devicewear case for it. I like how thin the case is because I use my tablet for reading books and the thin case is easier to hold. I also like how the case protects my tablet. Hopefully I don't need to get another tablet any time soon, but if I do I will make sure that I have a Devicewear case for it!

Perfecto!
First tried Devicewear on my Nexus 7. Has 2 years on it, and despite getting normal funk on it, is holding up wonderfully. Just upgraded to the Nexus 9, and of course went with Devicewear again! Love how neat, functional, and compact it is. Fits like a glove. Utilizes smart on/off (flip open, screen comes on - flip closed, screen shuts off). Love the luxurious soft leather, and the hard body shell. Love the multiple positions it locks in, and love that this guy stays shut with magnets instead of the elastic strap. High quality, good price! Best case for tablet! Thanks!
