GORGEOUS, EASY SKIES
Love Geoff Kersey. His books are easy to follow, step-by-step, and his skies are absolutely easy and beautiful. I have mostly all of his books. Try just one, see how you like them. I adore his instruction. I've come up with my own skies utilizing his methods.

Advancing Beond The Basics
This is an excellent book. I learned so much more than expected particularly about mixing various combinations of colors to depict different seasons. Geoff describes techniques in such detail that it is like following a recipe to achieve desired results. I highly recommend this book to artists who are a bit beyond the beginner stage of their watercolor journey.

Just what someone needs when learning Water Color
I love the easy to follow directions for painting skies. Directions are clear and the pictures are beautiful.

It's a little bit of a misnomer to call this “how to paint skies”, it's a very useful general instructional book - after all landscape painting hinges on the sky and its effect on everything below, which kersey makes abundantly clearExcellent step by step guides with a lot of stages well photographed, some books economise to their detriment on the steps involvedSo copy Constable and paint a sky a day - no excuses now

Geoff provides a very clear step by step approach to painting a variety of beautiful, calm and dramatic skies. This book is a must have for anyone learning to use watercolours.

A great resource and a charming read
Clear step-by-step directions including when to wet paper, why you should have colours pre-mixed, and when to wait for your washes to dry before continuing with painting. A great resource and a charming read.
