Can you use any pen? If so how do you erase?

You can use the permanent marker or the erasable markers. The pen did not work well at all! I hope this helped!

Is the pocket also write and erasable? I want to use it as an overlay for my changing calendar.

Hi Solo. I just checked. Yes you can. Seems difficult to write on using a regular pen, though. Sharpie works better and both erased easily. Good to know. I printed clear labels for mine, so forgot about that feature.

Using w/ sheet protectors, is the un-tabbed portion of divider the equivalent size of sheet protectors, so the tabs stick out beyond them entirely?

Yes these dividers are!👏👏 I measured the sheet protectors from side to side and they measure 9 1/4 inches to be sure before buying. These are that 9 1/4 inches, not including the tabs. Usually one of the images will show the dimensions or the measurements should be in the description, here on Amazon. 🙂 I just got mine late yesterday and I am so excited to use them!
