Amazing Guitar
First off, the design is stunning. The form is sleek and well-balanced, making it comfortable to hold whether you're sitting or standing. The color is vibrant and really catches the eye – it has that perfect blend of style and character. As for the sound, it’s incredible. Whether I’m playing clean tones or going for something heavier. The most important part, though, is how comfortable it is to play. The neck feels smooth and fast, and the fretboard is just the right size for my hands. It’s lightweight enough to play for hours without any discomfort.Overall, I couldn't be happier with this guitar. Highly recommend it!

Great guitar with some work!
My overall opinion of this guitar is that it is a great instrument, but mine needed some things to get there. This guitar is certainly playable out of the box, but had some issues with tuning, set up, etc. If you are comfortable with doing these things on your own then it is great, if not you may need to factor this into the cost and decide if it is worth it.Out of the box this guitar needed frets polished, a set up, and tightening loose tuners. The nut also needed a little work, but it was not terrible. The tuners certainly worked, but they are not very precise and I just did not like the feel of them. I replaced those with Grover 406C Rotomatic Mini 3 per Side Self Locking Machine Heads, Chrome tuners. These are a direct replacement and work great and helped with tuning. The bridge seems very cheap and rattles and although it worked, i felt it was poor quality. I got a Reverend roller bridge and it works better. If you get that be sure to use the little posts that screw into the guitar that came with the Reverend bridge. You will have to unscrew that bridge posts that are on the guitar and replace those with the Reverend ones. There are certainly other bridge options out there as well, but the Reverend bridge was cheap and seems better made than the stock bridge. With the nut work, bridge, tuners, & set up my 5230T now stays in tune much better, plays better and is a great guitar. In fact I previously had a Japan made Gretsch that goes for 3 times more than this one. I like this Gretsch better than that one with the mods I made. The Japenese Gretsch also needed a set up and had gritty frets when I got it. The bigsby works pretty well in this guitar as well and for the most part the guitar now stays in tune when lightly using it. It was not that way when I got the guitar.Hope this review helps people decide. If you play at home and just want a guitar like this then it would be fine without any modifications. If you play out then this guitar may need some work to stay in tune well enough for you.

Great Guitar - great sound - excellent playability = the price is right !
This guitar arrived in great condition . It plays really well, and the sound is great. I have been a long-time fan of Gretch guitars and this one is a Keeper!I encounterd only one minor problem, the high e-string had a slight buzz on arrival. Easy fix!The price is right - the playability is great - try it for yourself.Grumps.

Guitar Model is Garbage
Don’t buy this guitar. This guitar model is fundamentally flawed. The g-string has a quite significant buzz to it and the quality is subpar at best.

Hardware Rusting after 10 weeks
I love Gretsch guitars and have had several the last 20 years. The only reason I'm leaving a negative review is because my Bigsby hardware is rusting already - I've had the guitar for less than 3 months and there's quite a bit of rust on the hardware. I only store my equipment indoors at 75 degrees or less. Other than that, it's a very solid guitar - also, gorgeous.

A good start for upgrades
I knew this going in, but potential buyers should be forwarned. The guitar feels great and looks very nice, but you'll have to fix the tuning issues and the ramp of the master volume. There is plenty of info on the web about these issues. Just be forewarned. Once I sunk another $500 in upgrades it's a fantastic guitar.
