Yard Tuff DE-36 36" Drum Plug Aerator

Needed an aerator and didn't want to use the cinder block special. This guy works great if you can get beyond the price. It has a bung on the side so you can fill it with water which adds weight, allot of weight; In fact, my 19hp single cylinder Cub Cadet LT1045 mower struggles to pull this on uneven terrain. I generally fill it about 3/4 of the way and it does fine then. It is very well built and even has brass grease fittings at the tow hitch pivot points. Lots of spikes on this thing, it really does a great job ! If you do have this shipped to your house or business, it will need to be assembled; it doesn't come with the hitch or spikes pre installed. The spikes are held in place with nuts and bolts which is nice because you can replace them if one should go bad; So there is assembly involved, but it's not too bad. If you have a Northern Tools store nearby, I would suggest picking this up if possible, shipping to an adjacent state for me was $125, WOW . Beyond that, I highly recommend this, perfect for a lawn and garden business or homeowner. It'll last a lifetime as it's built like a tank. Even with the high shipping charge, I give this guy 5 stars, excellent !

The box good but Im missing 1/2 the bolt on teeth or looks like one whole box!!!!!!Nobody to call and box was taken out with recycle. All I want is my bolt on teeth!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great product at a good price

Absolutely awful. This aerator will tear your grass apart each time you turn to the point that there are chunks of dead grass on each side of the yeard where u make a turn. regardless of how wide you go. Trust me, I read the one review and purchased it going by the review. What a mistake! Do not purchase this. U will be highly dissapointed and the company that makes it Northern Tool is awful to deal with.

Used this aerator 5 times and had over 15 bent tines. Called the manufacturer and found out replacements are $6 each. This unit is not heavy duty and has not held up even after minimal use. Much too expensive for what I think is a poor quality product.

Love this aerator and it worked perfect for me. Waited a day after a rain so the yard was softened and this worked just like I wanted it to. I would purchase again form this company if I need to in the future.

Easy to use and easy to replace the plugs when needed. I have definitely bent a few because I turned too hard. Better to use on softer ground. Love the unit and the great result to my lawn.

Worked very well. I'm very pleased with this product. It does its job well. Worked great on my lawn and I love the weight of the drum and how deep the plugs can penetrate. I would definitely recommend this product.

Overall the product works, but could use some improvement. The pipes are thin and will bend if ground is too hard and there is too much water in the drum. The ejection ports for the plugs make the pipe easier to bend, but they are needed to not clog up the pipe going into the ground. Not sure what the solution would be. Use in soft dampish ground, but not too wet as the pipes will plug up....
