Got these for my family to take hiking. This is the best insurance you can get for a few bucks. If someone is lost or hurt, they can only yell for a short time and then the voice gives out. You can blow whistles for hours and they are much louder. Remember, safety is paramount to enjoying the outdoors. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

I bought 4 of these whistles to have for various emergency kits. When I received the whistles I immediately noticed that on the packaging it said that the contents of the whistle are known to cause cancer. It was not worth returning, so I have thrown them out and had to spend more money replacing them.I do not recommend purchasing this whistle.

The wife takes this at night when she is walking the dog. It is loud and gives sense of security
