Used this gizmo to install Tru Glo sights on my Glock mod 45. You need to read the instructions carefully & go slow! I removed the slide & used a vise (with a plastic guard) to hold the slide. Make sure everything is lined up before you apply any pressure to remove the rear sight. Factory sight came off without a problem. Installation was similar, in that you really need to check & double check how the pusher is aligned to your sight and use slow steady pressure. Make sure you are using the proper pusher edge for your sight (one side is angled, one is flat). The money I saved by doing it myself, easily paid for the tool. I have not tried it on other guns yet, but my first try worked out well.

Do not purchase if you are trying to install TRUGLOW TFXPRO sights on a SIG 226. The press keep slipping off the slide and after much effort did finally remove old sight and install rear sights. However could not get tool to remove front sight it. Found frustrating to use. While it may work better on Glock or 1911, wound not recommend for SIG

First internet review ever. This tool is made well and I had no problem aligning it, although a little cumbersome. I'm an engineer, and appreciate the design. The disastrous failing is the pathetic silicone little condom over the top screw that comes down on the top of the slide. Are you kidding me? Have you heard of IU (Indiana University)? This is how their engineering department would have designed this. It disappeared after the first adjustment, and the tip feels like it was cut off with a Sawzall. I used Scotch tape to finish the job. Unbelievable. The designers came so close and then either tripped over their dicks or let management make a stupid decision to release this product with the potential to spread STD's all over the shooting sport world. Shame on you.
