Very good quality table mats. It does not say so in the description, but the coating on the mat is like melamine. I was really pleased to see this when they arrived as I am fed up with the expensive ones that last little more than a year as they are just varnished cardboard.Update April 2018, having used these mats since they were purchased in July 2017. I have been disappointed that moisture started to infiltrated the side of the mats, leaving darker patched along the sides of the design, after only a few months use. Today I also noticed a dark patch had developed right in the middle of one of the mats, indicating the lacquer finish has failed on the top surface as well. The mats have received daily use and have been wiped over with a damp dishcloth but never made wet or submerged in water. They are nice looking mats, but not nearly as durable as I had hoped. Hence my reduction of star rating from five to three.

It’s great and look modern with a bit of colour good quality I got the large one to look better I have square plates so there is plante of room and you don’t need to use coaster I bought them anyway but it’s very good quality.

This 6-pack of placemats is much better quality than those in the similar 4-pack of placemats that I purchased last year. Ticketed with a 'luxury quality' ticket on the outside of the pack was deserved, as the finish is superior. Would highly recommend these, either to keep or to give as a present. Delivery was fast, item was well-wrapped, so arrived in perfect condition. 10 out of 10.

Beautiful image, durable top- the cork on the back could be better protected though. I have a 5 year old and through a couple of normal water spills- one of these has already lost a bit of cork on back. Besides that and at everyone else’s place at the table these are fine and well made. They are also remarkable stain resistant! My kiddo got permanent marker on one and it came off with a tiny bit of bleach and oxy clean. Love them and get lots of compliments.

I agree with the other reviews about the strong smell however decided its fine in time the smell will go however within a month the coating was already coming off so ive returned them for a refund

These are cork backed table coasters/mats so protective of my dining table. The size and finish were as expected and I do like them but I was a little disappointed that having “golden” in the description/ title that the middle gold section isn’t the least little bit gold/ shinymetallic.

The look of these is wonderful and the colours pop so that the coasters fit with almost any room theme. My problem with is that the slick outer coating means the moment a drink is set on top and begins to condensate, then the coasters immediately stick to the bottom of the glass like a suction cup. The entire coaster lifts off the table, stuck to the bottom of your glass. I feel this could have been avoided with a more textured or matte surface instead of sheer gloss, so for their purpose they are annoying than useful.
