Great product, great price!
After careful consideration of features, reviews and cost of the various training collars, I decided to try this one and couldn't be happier! The collars are easy to assemble and use with adequate instructions and training tips included. They have all the features I need including tone, vibrate and static mode with 100 levels of adjustment. I was leary about the 300 yard range as it was less than some other products but really the length of 3 football fields is more then enough. I also love the rechargeable battery and battery saving sleep feature. I have two young labs 4 and 1 that are obedience trained and get lots of exercise in our country yard, but recently started to develop the bad habit of ignoring direction when playing together and when that habit started to get dangerous by venturing across the road I decided to supplement training with the collars. Both the collars and training work great, the vibrate mode is a great attention getter and I plan on working more with the tone in the future. The only negative as others have said is the actual collar strap is plastic but seems to serve the purpose and is replaceable if needed.UPDATE: Had the collars now for about 10 weeks and they are still working great! The charge on the batteries last for a long time!! I charge them about every two weeks. Much easier on the budget then constantly having to purchase batteries.Second update: I've had the collars for over a year now, still work great though I only have to put on occasionally now as a reminder and even then rarely have to touch the controls. I firmly believe this method to be helpful to communicate when dealing with dangerous or stubborn behaviors and the quality of this product has been great!

Great for dogs with "MINOR",behvior issues needing reinforcement help!
Works well as it is advertised, for handling dogs with minor issues. If you have a serious crappy dog, it may help but perhaps train your dog better next time. Don't rag on the maker because of your lack of training your dog when it was younger in the first place. Dogs are trained best in the first 6 months to the first year of their life. That is when they are full of attention and ready and willing to take everything you give them in, both bad and good. So take that into consideration when you have a dog at 2 plus years old and you are blaming the dog, or the re-training equipment you are using to help contradict the badly learn behaviors, its not on the dog as its fault nor the products used to help correct such. Its human fault, and on you and or whom had the dog to train in the first place during that time in its life, sadly. No dog breed is ingrained with bad behavior period, it is brought on by human fault and or lack of training properly or use. Secondly from birth to its death socialize your animal every day from the day they are born with all ages from children to adults. This will insure a loving animal throughout its life span.Over 25 plus years of dog and animal training and as a K-9 unit officer and dog trainer, as well all that time as a civilian animal trainer for home/pet and also in the family/ business protection world to!Recommended for dogs with minor behavior issues that can be corrected with this as a alert of bad behavior and then proper positive training when you see they are doing right. Always attach a verbal command to when you use this for bad behavior as you should when they are good!Update: IPets are very upstanding Sellers taking care of me above and beyond expectation. You can not go wrong buying from them let alone this item being purchased through them. 5-stars all around!

Works well--Human Tested, Dog Approved. Hilarity Ensued.
I like this product a lot. Came with multiple posts for dogs with longer or shorter fur, which was useful considering I have a Wolf as well as a Great Dane. The only thing about this product that I did not like was the fact that when the control was in sleep mode, it sometimes wouldn't activate right when I needed it to. It came with 2 shock collars as shown. If you have a stubborn dog who is very large, I reccommend cranking that baby up to 80 or more. My Great Dane is HUGE but she's a big sissy, so I only put it on 30 for her, but for my Wolf, Thanos-I crank it up to at least 80. Sometimes he just looks at me like I'm an idiot until I set it at 100. Ive had these things for about 3 weeks now and no longer see them trampling the garden or chewing on too many things. These are safe, BTW so don't let these PITA twats tell you otherwise. I put each collar on an zapped myself at the highest setting to make sure it was safe for my animals before I put it on them. Seriously, it sucks. Not going to lie-- I almost shat myself when setting it to 100. Totally not ashamed. I care about my pets.

Do not buy! It is not worth the frustration!!!
If this order was not past tbe delivery window, I would return it immediately. As I was moving into a new home, I knew that with the home, I wanted to better train my two puppies. I should have tried this product out immediatly and not wasted thw time and money on this product.Out of the box everything seemed to work fine. I made sure all of the items were fully charged, both collars and remote, did a test run on each collar in all 3 modes, no issues. After placing on the dogs, this is when all the trouble started. This remote and sensor are pointless. They dont work. I would say 1 out of every 15 times I pushed the button it would acually reach tje collar and respond. Half the time the dog was less than 5 feet away from me. By the time the collar would acually respond to me trying to find the right position for it to work, the dog was done doing what it wanted to do!This is incredibly frustrating! After 2 weeks and multiple tries, along with a short break becuase I thought just maybe, I was doing something wrong and surely if I just tried again in a week it would work fine. No luck. This is a piece of garbage and not worth any of the frustration.Save yourself some crazy and look elsewhere! Do not buy this product.

Good backyard trainer at a fraction of the expensive name brands price.
When I bought my first E collar a few years ago the only ones that got good reviews were the expensive ones with features needed for hunting like rugged waterproof controllers and 1/4 mile range or more. Reviews of any that were cheaper and used for backyard training were usually very bad. So I bought the expensive one and 4 years later it still works great but I needed another collar since we got our second dog. I was shocked at the expensive price just to buy a second collar for my set.Fortunately today things have changed and there are affordable backyard training E collars with good reviews at one fifth the cost of the expensive hunting name brand collars.Based on the largely positive reviews I bought this Petrainer 2 collar set.So some comparisons between my expensive one and these. The expensive controller is waterproof and more rugged feeling. The Petrainer controller isn't waterproof and less rugged but is solid enough for backyard training. I've dropped it a few times and one of my dogs decided to use it as a chew toy once. Fortunately it survived although it looks a bit rough. On the expensive controller you can assign separate correction buttons to each dog. The Petrainer controller uses the same button for correcting both dogs after toggling to the dog you want with another button. This is poor since I've often correct the wrong dog when quick action is needed. Separate correction buttons are better. The expensive controller has 1/4 mile range. The Petrainer controller has less range but more than enough for backyard and dog park use.The collars perform about the same and last around 2 - 3 days per charge depending on use.The controller charge lasts about a week or more.I found the shock correction of the Petrainer to be like a tingle. The expensive collar is more like a one shot sting. This is after adjusting for about the same detection level across my fingers. I like the tingle better. It appears to get the dog's attention about the same. One reviewer indicated using shock at 5 was too much and wondered why it would need to go to 100. Testing it across my fingers I could just detect it at 30, tingle at 40, and sting at 50. Both dogs appear to detect it at 30, and respond well to 40. I only use 50 as a last resort if the dog doesn't respond to lower settings when doing destructive behaviors like digging. Try it across your fingers first to be sure it's working properly and the level is reasonable before trying it on your dog.I don't expect the Petrainer to last as long as my expensive one, but I can buy several of the Petrainers and still be ahead.I think I'll buy another Petrainer controller so I have one for each dog. Less convenient but hopefully it will ensure I send the correction to the correct dog.Good value for the money. Performs as well as the expensive ones when used for backyard training.

Alright for a low price -- but definitely lacking
Bought this training collar last December 2022. The 2 collar kit was on sale for less than twenty dollars!Having owned it now for 7 months I feel it's time to write a short review on it.The kit came well packaged with everything needed to make it work. There is a 1 year warranty with it (extended to 3 years if you don't mind divulging personal data). Great, I thought! So, the transmitter is multi-functional -- each button serves dual purposes.Having previously owned a training unit from another manufacturer that had discrete buttons, I found this particular transmitter took some practice to use especially in an emergency. But it does work for disciplining my pup(s). Both the vibration and shock (rarely used) work satisfactorily. However, the one major downfall is with the receiver collar(s).They are NOT waterproof. And once water gets in (especially salt water) it will destroy the electronics. They can be opened and attempt to dry them out sometimes works. Now here's the big caveat: even though the reviews here are a compendium for this brand of training collars, the actual Sellers are different. When I went to apply for warranty replacement of a faulty receiver (after 6 months use), the Seller no longer existed. The new Seller refused to honor the existing warranty and also refused to provide contact information to Petrainer (maker of the unit).Besides the new exorbitant price that the training collars now command, the best this Seller could offer was a pitiful discount. So purchase this device brand with this information in mind.

Fantastic training aid, fantastic backing of product
When I got my very stubborn Rottie mix, we got to where I was nearly at my wit's end. A friend recommended a 'shock' collar but I did not want that cruel, old-fashioned treatment for her. But when I looked online, I found this which is a modern, civilized version and I took a chance. Boy oh boy, am I ever glad I did! It really helped with her.Now I just got another SPCA rescue, an 8-month-old Husky cross -- and a real handful. Out came the collar again and it seems that I did not review before -- and I should have.To get restarted, I put the collar on my leg, set all the levels to zero, and worked through until I felt a mild vibration and a mild 'zap'. Put the collar on her and she felt nothing, so when she misbehaved, I gradually increased until it caught her attention. I use the Beep to let her know I'm talking to her and to stop wrestling with and annoying her 'sister'. She looks up and comes. So, that is great. But, what is a HUGE help this time is the vibration on higher levels IF the dog next door goes berserk because that triggers her and SHE goes berserk, charging across the yard, barking like an idiot, and jumping up on the fence. She really does not like the 70/100 vibration setting and it immediately stops her frenzy. She runs back to me. Usually I use it on about 40 or 50 if she starts to dig in the garden, then she stops, backs up, rolls on her back and shakes. She seems to think that a wasp is after her, and once she 'gets' rid of it, she realizes she shouldn't have been digging. Meantime, I have not had to scold her or be the nasty Tough Guy. She associates the annoyance with the dog and the garden, not me, and she is learning to ignore both. This is system is a huge blessing to me, and I only used the 'shock' function twice to get her down off the fence the first 2 times. Now the medium vibration is all she needs, and I know myself that it doesn't hurt; it's just weird and annoying, and a distraction.Part 2 of this review: It turns out that the remote started to fail so I called the company and in an extremely unusual event these days, the service rep was very pleasant and immediately sent out a replacement! Since the pup is new to me and came with some serious issues, we have a lot of work to do. I did not want to be without this trainer, so I must also thank and commend the company for backing its product. 5* all the way !

It works
No one wants to use these...my silly dog was a ground barker...aka mouser? Maybe..i never saw or heard what he saw or heard but hours on end he would look at the ground and high pitch bark and hop..for hours...so we put this on him.... I mean sure hop all day but you dont need to steadily scream at thee mice! Needless to say he got shocked once and he actually stopped. He doesnt hop at the earth any more. Also he used to run... he would squeeze out the door and hes gooone..so it worked for the jumping.. so he had it on when i was "letting him escape" and once he jetted out the yard i tapped it a couple times and he ran back home...he barely ran after that! I swear by these...itss not an everyday thing! But to just tell him hey i dont want you on the road please! Buzzz! Come back! Hes safe and sound at home:). works good but dont abuse it

Better built than most similar collars but not made to last...You get what you pay for....
This is an update of my last review. After receiving a free replacement for the troubles my first set caused me. I am very thankful from that seller, this is truly top notch customer service. It's been less than 3 months now and the two units of my free replacement don't work no more. One unit is completely dead and the shock doesn't work on the other unit. These collars are not built to last. And I am not that hard on them. I put them on my dogs maybe 1 or 2 hours per day, mostly to stop them from barking when they are outside or to make sure they behave well when we take a walk. I have an older training collar from a well known brand, of course the price is not the same, maybe 8 times the price of the present units. In any events my older units are now 8 years old and they still work perfectly other than the battery who is starting to loose it's charge faster..In the end, you get what you pay for.End of update----------------------------------------After returning the defective product, the company contacted me to apologize and to offer to send me another sample of this product for me to re-evaluate it. This is in my humble opinion, top notch customer service. I am very impressed. Not long after, I did receive the replacement collars and so far they are working perfectly.PROS:-different color neck collars. This seems trivial but it is very important to know which dog is wearing which collar, so you won't correct the wrong dog.-closed loops to hold the collar. I have cheaper model of this collar and the loops are open and the collar keeps on slipping out and I almost lost the electronic module many times.-The battery charging port is easily accessible, not unlike my cheaper model where you have to remove the neck collar in order to access the battery charging port.- 3 useful modes ; beeping, vibration and static shock. The vibration and static shock levels are adjustable from 1 to 100. This way you can increase the level and intensity of the correction. Now my dogs respond very well to the beeping. I almost never have to go the other levels. The dogs learn early that if they don't respond to the beeper, then the vibration will follow and if they don't stop the bad behavior then the static shock will follow.CONS:-Like all the collar having this kind of remote control, the control unit go in sleep mode after less than 30 seconds without using it. This interferes a lot when you are training your dog. When the unit is in sleep mode, you have to press the button once to get it out of sleep mode, then press again to send the correction. This is not convenient to train a dog, when the timing of the correction is crucial.-------------------Original review-----------------I had to return the items. After 3 days the beeper on one unit stopped working. This is very sad because I absolutely loved them. The design and functionality of them is far better than a cheaper version I have. Like this ones have closed hoops to hold the collar, not open ones like in my cheaper model where the cheap collar always sneak out of. Also the connection plug is easily accessible, You don't need to remove the collar to access the recharging port.
