Behringer HPX2000 High-Definition DJ Headphones

Great set of headphones! i mean , you are getting a budget headphone right? otherwise youd be checking out 200 dollar seins or beatz , now with that said... im impressed by the sound quality of these headphones, i love it, good dynamic range , crisp and clear, though a litte hard to drive for most handheld devices , full volume feels a litter lack of a punch, connecting this to the headphone output of my desktop bose system really brings out the base and depth on this headphones. sound Q definitively beats most headphones ive heard of this price range and even more expensive ones. they dont cancel out ambient noise very well , as youd kinda expect them being open back design (small grill on the outside , you can see driver so means its open to outside vibrations aka sound) . they also dont isolate sound very great either but its not too bad (a person standing 3 feet from you will hear them , much like they would hear the other person talking to you over the phone if standing close to ya, not too loud to bother really ) all in all excelent value, they are comfortable to wear, not too heavy but feel solid, foldable to take on the go or store, cable is solid too , not a thin one that tangles easy like the earbuds , also i like the screw one adapter , that way it wont come out when using it, and you wont have connection problems like you do with the other adapters while i did buy them for djing , i wouldnt recommend them too much for club or live use, because you will be playing loudly probably , wich means you will get a lot of outside sound to your earphones wich will basical drown out your cue or your monitoring a bit, wich is never a good thing (think using the "cue mix" knob in your mixer and never being able to fully drown out the live mix while trying to cue up a song on your headphones) other than that , yes id recommend them for everyday or home audio use

I have been using a pair of Behringer HPS3000 headphones for about four years, until just a few weeks ago when I forgot I was wearing them and tried to walk away from my console. I decided to try out a different model this time around, since I could return them if they didn't work out, and I could always fall back on getting another pair of HPS3000. I chose the HPX2000 because they're the same price as the HPS3000, but just a slightly different design. I was all set to write a scathing review and return the product. I had plugged the headphones into my laptop computer to try them out, and it sounded like listening to my music over a 1960s era telephone. Turns out there's an issue with my laptop's headphone jack. ANY pair of headphones I plugged into it sounded exactly the same. But then I plugged them into my cell phone, and my music sounded fantastic! Very rich bass - even the really low frequencies - and crisp highs. With a frequency range of 20-20,000Hz, they will faithfully reproduce just about anything you could hope to hear. They actually are capable of lower frequencies than what my phone can produce. They don't hit the ultra-low frequencies hard enough to rattle your brain pan, but then again, they're not designed for that. That's what 15 inch subwoofers are for. The sound from these is just as good as the sound from the HPS3000. I would rate them on the same level with headphones costing three or four times as much. These certainly don't sound like your average pair of $20 headphones! My only complaint - and it's not enough to take off a star - is that I wish they had oval ear cups so they would fit better over the entire ear. They're still comfortable enough, but I prefer the oval ear cups of the HPS3000. It would also be nice if they had a detachable cord, so when I forget to take them off and walk away from my console and ruin the plug on the end of the cord, I only have to replace the cord, not the headphones themselves.

By no means am I an audiophile. I am just a casual listener. I do own a pair of Bose OE2 headphones which I am quite satisfied about. I think these sound very similar if not just as good as the Bose. Sound (5/5)- When I first got these headphones, they sounded average, like a pair of 50 dollar headphones. The bass was a little weak but the treble and the vocals were pretty clear. However, after a couple hours (5-6) of breaking in, with pink noise, they were much improved. The bass really came out and the trebles became warmer and less precussive. They started to sound like 100 dollar headphones. I always had faith in Benringer products and I'm not disappointed with the sound in this one. Comfort (4/5)- To start, I have a very averaged sized head with ears that a little big, not too huge, and not tiny. When I first got these, the cups seemed pretty big and looked like they were going to fit. Not quite. These cups were a tad-bit too small for my ears. But its not a big problem. The adjustable headband was quite nice and adjusted very easily. My headband goes 3 and 1/2 notches out on each side. The ear-cushions look pretty thick and they are. However, they don't cushion very much. After a few hours of listening, my ears start to hurt. Not the best in comfort. Quality (4/5)- These a pretty strongly built. However, many of the parts that look like metal are plastic. The grill (mesh or whatever its called) is made of metal. The adjustable headband seems pretty durable, even though its only been three days. The wire is thick and very flexible, but still durable. The cushions seem like they will last a few years. However, the hinges are either too stiff or too loose. They is no real way to adjust them. Overall (4/5)- Considering all the factors, I would recommend these headphones to anyone looking for a cheap pair that isn't planning on listening for more than hours on end.

At first I bought them because they were cheap and I wanted an over-the-ear headphones. My expectation for it wasn't high but from the moment I tried them on, it became my favorite headphones. Sure, it's not high-end quality but it's very close. The bass and treble quality are excellent. Even though it is not noise-cancelling, it has an interesting feel to it. The weight of the headphones are light and not too forceful with its clamping, therefore it is very comfortable. When you put it on, you can hear the noise around you quite clearly but once the audio comes on, all other noises are "cancelled". This feature is important to me because there will always be those times when I'm enjoying my music and someone wants to talk to me and gets my attention by waving at me. I just have to turn off the audio (without taking off the headphones) to hear what they're saying. These headphones are still my favorite after 5 years of wear and tear and the soft ear paddings have worn off. Still the inner padding is comfortable. Additionally it comes with the standard 3.5mm plug and a screw-on larger (don't know the size) for higher-quality outputs.

Great for podcasting. Good sound. Starts to shred after about a year. Maybe I should have cleaned the imitation leather more often? Great for the price.

I was a little worried based off so many negative reviews when I ordered these, but for the price-paid I'd say they aren't too shabby, they'll work for me, but there are some very definite negatives to these headphones. So I'll get straight to the negatives, then the positives, then my personal take on these. Cons ----- -Stiff foam ear-pads -Ear pads are too small; I have small ears and my ears just barely fit within the diameter, most people's ears they will probably have the foam rest on their ears which is not only uncomfortable, it also adds distance between the driver/ear (and can distort the sound slightly). -Cheaply made; obviously cheap, but there are some pretty shoddy design choices here. Also poor finishing work, the paint job is poorly done apparently after assembly so the paint tapers-off near the connection joint, and it just looks like no thought or care were put in the finish. -Sound "bleeds" out; the back of the drivers are open to allow air, but that means the sound is almost as loud outside the headphones as between them. -No carry-bag (nicer/expensive monitor headphones come with a carry-bag, these do not but also didn't say they did either). Pros ----- +Good sound reproduction; these are moreso "monitor" headphones (don't like that they called them DJ headphones, which tend to have punchier bass) so that means they are pretty flat-sounding. Certainly not "music-listening" headphones, but they work great for monitoring sound (I record meetings and monitor headphones are better suited). The highs are nice and clear, even the bass is clear without being punchy, the drivers are actually pretty decent for such a cheap brand. Certainly don't compare with real monitor headphones that cost over $100, but then again, these don't cost anywhere near that amount and are great for the price. +Folding/rotating; the rotating could have been slightly better designed, but they fold up fairly nice. +Thick cord. +Look professional from a distance. +Screw-on 1/4" adapter is kinda nice. Summary -------- So in all, these headphones are pretty much worth their price-point. Behringer makes some good cheap products (I have several of their mixboards which work/sound great), but these headphones have some odd aesthetic choices. The ear cups could have been at least a 1/4" bigger, the paint job could have been done on individual parts pre-assembly so they're uniform in covering, and the foam could have been slightly softer and I think many people would have rated these much higher (including myself) and wouldn't cost too much to implement. The drivers are pretty decent for monitoring, but again, most people think of "DJ" headphones as punchy headphones, not as monitor headphones which are purposefully flat.

I bought these Headphones about 6 months ago, as a replacement for around the house, gaming headphones. They worked fine, and I had no problem with the overall sound quality, however I did have minor problems with the plastic feeling very cheap and very breakable. The ear pieces were comfortable at first, but after extensive use, they became causing pain in both of my ears. Then, after 6 months of having them, just by moving the wrong way, the outer cable broke exposing the wires inside for all to see. At first, this was only a minor problem, however today it became a VERY big problem. In the middle of playing a game with them on, I turned to the right, and the cable swung with me, and right then and there the left speaker went out. I checked several times on several different devices, and sure enough, the left speaker was no longer working. After some extensive investigating of the exposed wires, I discovered that they had started to fringe and in doing so, the left speaker's connection had been severed completely. I dare not even TRY to use these Headphones again or fix them, for fear that one wrong move, and the entire wire will snap completely and leave me with a wireless pair of headphones that do not work. I would not advise getting these headphones at all, and I am currently in the process of sending them back for a refund, as well as searching for another affordable pair of headphones for gaming.

When I went looking for headphones I came across the Behringer HPX2000 HD DJ headphones, I was looking for high reviews from my fellow shoppers and this particular model had the high reviews. When I recieved the H.P., I was pleased to see. They were very sturdy and well made, the cord was not too long and not too short. The ear-muffs fit nicely over my ears. The sound quality was great, compared to the other head-phones I have had in the past. I would definatly recommend these to anyone who is looking for a inexpensive model that are well made and designed. The only downside too these head-phones is that when I cranked it up, my wife was able to hear the music in the other room... LOL To anyone else that would be really loud on the ears, but since I have a hearing problem it was fine with me, plus at low levels the sound is still crystal clear... Looking at the negatie reviews, all I have to say is that sometimes, a product that should of been caught by the QC department made it out the door, the pair I recieved were very nice and well worth the $25.00 i paid for them.. This is a very good product at the price it is being given considering the sound quality that you get. Really good quality. Worth recommending. The only thing I would have preferred is if the cord could be detachable.

Superb value. Well built, decent looking and sound great. Sound quality is quite rich. Haven't tried in a club but indoors and in studio they are fine value for money headphone. Lead/wire could be a little longer but happy with them. Starting out, spare pair whatever these are decent value.

Mi serviva una cuffia per dj (non è il mio lavoro ma solo puro e personale divertimento), non volevo spendere moltissimo e sinceramente leggevo bene di questo marchio senza avere mai acquistato niente. Ottimo. Buono l'audio, elevato il volume per l'uso a cui è destinato e seppur plasticoso fa la sua porca figura. Prezzo veramente contenuto, venditore affidabilissimo e consegna impeccabile.
