I found a guitar, in its soft carry bag, on the side of the road on top of other household waste (mainly broken stuff, not refuse) awaiting a curb-side pick up.I thought it would only be the guitar bag, which was fine by me. When I picked it up I realized it had a little more weight to it, so I speculated it had a guitar inside. But didn't open it up until I got it home.It certainly did. And I won't say what brand it was.But a couple of tuning pegs were busted. So I got onto Amazon, found these ones, and they were inexpensive enough that I figured that if they weren't the right size, it wouldn't have mattered.They fit! Maybe that sort of thing is standard, I don't know. Maybe I got lucky.So replaced the old busted ones, put on some fresh strings, and viola! An acoustic guitar to muck around on!I play drums and bass, so I thought I'd have some fun with some simple chords.Only problem (and it's not a problem with the product I bought) but the guitar had a very high action. But that ended up working out good for me because I bought a slide and tuned it to Open E tuning and now use it as a slide guitar. It's a lot of fun!So if you've got an acoustic guitar that needs new tuning pegs, these could be the answer!

I bought two sets of these tuners. One to replace the tuners on my (circa 1950) Supro Supreme lap steel and one to put on an acoustic/resonator conversion I'm working on. When I first opened them, one thing that struck me immediately was that these didn't feel like $10 tuners. They were smooth, clean, and sturdy. I put them on the Supro Supreme and they work 10 times better than the original tuners! They have smooth motion and fine adjustments to the tuning can be made with ease. They were easy to install and are standard dimensions, so they should fit most guitars that use 3-on-a-plate tuners without serious modification. If I were asked how they could be better, I'd point out that the buttons are a generic cream color. Not a deal-breaker by any means, but for the appearance-conscious person, the choice of maybe true white or black buttons would also be nice. If you need good 3-on-a-plate tuners, buy these. And THEN smile because you got 'em so cheap.

Bought these for an older guitar. My fault that I did not make proper measurements. Does not fit my headstock, but will be used in a kit guitar I plan on making. Quality is good, packaged well.....almost too well. Hard to get these out of the plastic wrap !

These tuners were priced right and look nice on my double neck lap steel.The shafts did not line up with the center of the holes in the lap steel and the holes were half inch so I had to make up two hardwood bushings for each tuner, the holes in the four outside bushings had to be drilled off center.It took some time to make and drill out 24 bushings but now the tuners fit perfectly and look nice.This was no fault of the tuners it was because I did not know enough about tuners to order the proper size.I would recommend these tuners to friends and relatives if they had need for tuner replacement.George Shute.

These machines are well made for the price and are very good for renovating an old guitar. If you have an expensive guitar, I would buy Grovers or other top shelf tuners, but the Pings are perfect for lower end instruments.

For a middle of the road product, this is not bad. The operation is ok and the guitar stays in tune fairly well. At some point down the road, I will probably pay a little more and get a set with a better gear ratio.

a wonderful item . no problems it fit perfect i would recommed this to anyone repairing a guitar.very brite an sturdy you can string the guitar right away too.

I installed these on an old no-name Martin knock-off that had a pair of really terrible old tuners on it. The screws didn't quite match up with the existing holes but other than that I've been really happy with these. They feel surprisingly solid and the guitar holds tune much better and longer than before.
