Whitmor Double Rod Closet Extender

Bought this a year ago and still holds my clothes very well. The bottom bar bends in a bit in the middle from the weight but still holds my clothes just fine. I have ALOT of clothes on these and it weights a lot, crazy that it holds them. They are super durable and helped organize my closet and double my space for clothes. I would recommend this to others who want a nice, cheaper way to organize and free space in their closet.

Promptly returned for a full refund. Item wouldn't even hold children's clothing without crashing g to the floor...The lower bar is poorly designed. The lower bar is held by small plastic pieces that are supposed to create a snug fit for the bar. Unfortunately, it misses the Maryland any weight, let alone substantial weight, causes this product to be a major fail.

Love this! So easy to install and I can adjust it when my daughter gets bigger and her clothes are longer.

Quite disappointed, as the 'rod' actually bends/bows with weight. Others said great for kids clothes, but for adult shirts made of cotton, not so.

I only gave 3 stars because the bottom rack bends and doesnt seem too sturdy.

The rod buckles when less than half of it is full. The sleeves don’t prevent the horizontal rod from sliding down. The quality is awful and it’s not fit for purpose. Don’t buy this.

Life saver! Works wonderful. The slots are a bit small for my hangers so I just put them ontop of the bottom bar. Works wonders and now I can fit a lot more clothes into my closet!!

This is really great for tops; I wouldn't suggest wooden hangers as they would weigh to much.Currently I'm using plastic (the thinner ones, NOT the thick "winter coat" ones) and thin velour hangers and they seem to be able to hold the weight. I have about 35 tops (half tee shirts, the other half being dress shirts) on this and it's starting to buckle slightly, so I know I've reached my limit. Because these are adjustable and my closet is lower to the floor, I opted to put my pants above my tops on my main bar. Which meant I needed to be crafty at hanging (I'm 5'10" I have long legs!) but overall I'm very happy with this purchase.It does what I need it to do, it provided me with a clutter free closet on a budget. I recommend this with caution; if you plan on hanging heavy items you're better off spending more on a more sturdy option.I've included photos of my journey. Hope this helps!

It does not hold any weight. I attempted to hang pants on the bar and it bent in less than 5 minutes.
