Root & Om Chakra C Note Antique Finished Hand Hammered Tibetan Meditation Singing Bowl - 9 Inches, Golden-Brown

I ordered this singing bowl because I'm a doctoral student in East Asian medicine doing my thesis on sound resonance therapy. I chose this particular one because the first harmonic is "C" (but not even tempered tuning, so closer to "C#"). I was hoping it would resonate well with the the G/G# bowl I bought from Thalemart last year. Even so, I never could have hoped for such a perfect match! The two bowls sing together in a perfect, Perfect 5th It's like they're a romantic couple of soul mates. The bowl not only rings beautifully using the soft mallet, but is one one the easiest bowls I have to get it to sing out by rubbing the mallet around the rim. Plus it has a marvelous sustain and overtones for days. So far, I've bought two bowls from Thalemart on amazon, and both have been great. I'll be ordering more from them soon and I recommend you do the same if you're looking for a premium singing bowl at an excellent price!

I love this bowl! So worth the price!

There's a small chip on the inside rim.Still sounds great. Inside has many light surface scratches, looks like steel wool to smooth the insides. For the price, it should have been inspected better, before selling/ shipping.

It seems you're taking a gamble when purchasing this item. I did not receive the bowl that was advertised. It's the correct size, but it's not a Tiger Eye style in the picture. More importantly, it does not produce a C note under any circumstances. When hit with a mallet it produces an A note. When it sings it produces a B flat. Luckily I didn't have a bowl in my collection at that note, so it wasn't a total loss, but it's not what I wanted. If you're looking for a specific note, I would caution against purchasing. If you just want a big bowl then it might be okay.

Absolutely LOVE the tone of this bowl. Beautiful to look at and play.
