I’ve never used the original sigma mount, but this thing feels solid. Make sure it engages right when first installed, like another review says, keep rotating the mount until the three screws on the lens body fall into the groove on the mount and then tighten that sucker down.

This fits the lens just like the original does. It also has basically the same size, shape, and footprint. Mounted using the built-in Arca-Swiss dovetail on a compatible clamp, the lens is front-heavy. This is no different than the original Sigma, but you would mount a long Arca-Swiss plate to give more adjustment on that. On this item, they could have adjusted to be longer or add an angled connecting neck to shift the foot farther forward for better balance. Missed opportunity to make even better.

I like it. You should consider this if you use a mono pole or tripod. I usually use a monopole and like the fact that the quick release plate is built in.The only thing I could wish for is the quick release plate was a little longer so it is easier to balance on a tripod.This is a good product and made a big difference in my ability to shoot wildlife.

Finally someone came up with an answer to the issue of the crap shoe on the sigma 150-600mm. Note: if you've never replaced a collar type shoe mount on a sigma lens, it may feel like and look like this one isn't gonna fit. Keep rotating it. The grooves are set to only be mounted in one particular position. Once it's on, it works like the original. I can mount my lens to my Wimberley monopod head without having any issues of it wanting to loosen up. I only wish they would have made the foot a little longer. Very satisfied.

The foot came off the ring mount because the two screws that hold the foot to the ring only have 3 threads of engagement. Almost dropped the lens and camera on the ground.

Well dummy me. I'm new to this lens. It came without a tripod collar. So I wasn't aware of the rubber band in the area where the tripod collar goes. So I try to put it on and it didn't fit. But I contacted the seller and they help me out so much that I learned about this rubber band and was able to place the tripod collar on perfectly!! Great communication by this company and very helpful and the price is great compared too the original one from Sigma which is $189.99 Canadian!!!

Ich kann mich nur den vielen 5 Sterne Bewertungen anschließen. Alles besten!!!Eine Stativschelle sollte immer ARCA-Swiss kompatibel sein.Warum das bei SIGMA kein Standard ist versteht wohl keiner. Es nervt nichts mehr ,als wenn sich im falschen Moment die angeschraubte Platte löst, und die Kamera mit Objektiv dreht. Dank Amazon findet man aber immer Alternativen, für so manche Probleme

もう少し三脚座の長さが欲しかったかな。純正に比べ少しは長いもののあと数センチ長ければベストでしたが…とは言えこれで三脚座の安定も良くなり、更にはレンズの持ち手としても活用できる範囲です。

Well made and it suits its intended purpose. My reason for a 4 instead of a 5 would be that the arca swiss foot should be longer to allow for better balance with the lens full extended, but otherwise happy and would recommend.
