Too Short
Great historical romance with great descriptions but it was extremely short and leaves you with out an ending. You will need to buy the next book in order to have an ending to the problem at hand. I'm not sure you then if you would know the answer.

Slim pickings or an old friend?
I was disappointed to find this wasn't a complete story. I thought I was getting the whole book. Some places the wrong word was used, & places where story was repetitive. When the heroine talked about her dream for her future & when she talked about William. Several times it was mentioned that he had just left Rachel with no warning. She doesn't talk as if she is totally in love with William either. Mentioning her vision & headache problem at least 3-4 times, m a's ybe more.

Short story, not a book
The storyline was interesting, but far too short to be called a book. I downloaded it for free, so I can't fault the price. As soon as the characters and setting were well established, the "problem" hook was set and the reader was offered a sample from book two in the series. I would be interested in reading a complete book by Ellen Anderson, but will be sure to check the length before buying.

Another Wonderful Story
This is an Introduction and the first book in the series of New Beginnings (Angel Falls Book#1) short stories. I enjoyed these two short stories. It takes place in Angel Falls, Colorado, in the 1870's in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The Hart family has four (almost) grown children, two boys and two girls living at home. The town is small but still growing with a close-knit community. The introduction was about family, their likes and dislikes, and their plans. The first story was about the oldest girl, Rachael. Benjamin the oldest boy and Jason the youngest boy and the youngest girl Miriam. Also, with the town building up I can just imagine these will be some good stories. I have read a few books by these two authors, all good stories. These take place five years after the Civil War.

Get comfy and begin!
I couldn't put the Aspen Falls series down. Loved it! And what was wonderful was i didnt have to skip 20-30 pages of pornagraphic junk that a lot of writers use today to sell their books. This series is what reading is about! You get the series. Each book does not leave you in a cliff hanger mode. It's written so that you are caught up in the ups and downs of a family and a town, and how they survived back in 1870s.The writing grabshold of you andtakes you thru the person's life. And the inter-reaction with the family. Good old fashioned writing! Captures your heart! Enjoy!

Disappointed
This book started off great, then BAM! The End. What the? What a disappointment. Don't bother with this book, it's only two chapters long then it ends. Giving you a teaser for the next book. Waste if my time. Sucks!!!!!!

Brief slice of life from America's westward expansion
This combination of Book 1 and 2 serve as a quick introduction to a German pioneer family settled into the foothills of the Rockies, the town built around them and the land when it was unspoiled by human need. This is more of a serial approach to story telling, not even long enough for a novella. It felt real and the characters had a depth and honesty well established in a very quick manner. Relaxing way to spend an hour, just too short for my taste.

Left me wondering
Well written historical - but, even if an introduction -which it does not state -instead it says Book 1 - it is way too short & leaves you wondering - what is wrong with her eyes, will she marry, what about her best friend, is her sister right about William or not.

Far too short.
No story, just an introduction to main characters and how they came to be living in Aspen Falls. Extremely disappointed. Will not pursue series.

New Beginnings not happy
Not happy and not going to give it more stars. Here is why, this is a half book! It’s like you take a short story and rip it into two or however many parts.Well I’m not happy in the least.First she thinks she has eye strain. Then her bo returns ...not happy...
