Single Dinn only
This is for single Dinn installs and the product page doesn't tell you that. I have a 2001 Yukon Denali and found the proper on from this same company and it works beautiful. Only reason for 4 stars is it doesn't say anything about single versus double Dinn. Other than that, great product and great company. I was able to exchange it.

Many different types
Good product, very good price, but kind of confusing to install if you don't know exactly which one to use.

and it fit pretty decently. I did have to cut a portion ...
Since this is meant to fit a lot of GM cars, its not going to fit perfectly because GM has made a lot of cars in their day. I put this one in a '99 Malibu, and it fit pretty decently. I did have to cut a portion of the side mounting bracket in the car to get this to wedge in, and I do mean wedge. This was a very tight squeeze to get this in the dash hole. I'll also advise you, that at least in the Malibu, you'll definitely want to go with the flat faceplate, I put the medium height one in and it just looks goofy sticking out from the dash that much and I'd have been laughing my tail off had I put the large one in.

Have had the best luck with Metra kits.... usually
I purchased this for my 89 IROC so I could install my electronic crossover under the head unit. While I like Metra kits, this one has been giving me some problems. It does have a face that can be used with installing an electronic crossover. That took some fine trimming to make the head unit and crossover to fit, without having to trim the head units trim ring that fits around the detachable face. It would look ugly leaving that off the stereo and trimming the bottom off the ring might make it no longer stay on the stereo. After that was done, I then needed to devise a way to attach the crossover to the kit. Lots of brackets, but none to properly do the job. Some more modifications and a little tricky installment and I got the crossover to mount to the kit. Now, the crossover and the head unit make it too big to fit in the main body of the kit!The plastic is too thick, so a shaving I will go.Luckily I have other parts from other GM kits. I was able to find some metal brackets that attached right to the side of this kit for mounting in the car.If it were not for the crossover, this kit would have been easy. But there is a face for a crossover to be mounted, so why not make sure one fits with the head unit when designing the kit.

Fits a '96 Firebird with modification.
Installed in a '96 Firebird. I had to use some "Ultra Black RTV" to get the radio in there just right (and because the plastic felt cheap), I had to re-purpose one of the unused plastic bits to give support to the back of the head unit, and I even had to bend the little bracket behind the radio (part of the car dashboard) to get the radio in there but it is in and it looks good. I couldn't say that about the last two adapters I tried, so I'm giving this a perfect score just because it is the best of the limited options available for my car. I may still have been better of making something out of wood...but that's not something most people are willing to do.

Covers a lot of cars, you might have to do some experimentation
This kit worked for my '87 Corvette. I needed to use the original side brackets. The directions are pretty useless. You may have to experiment a bit to see what combination of parts fits.

Gets the job done.
Everything you might need seems to be in this installation kit, and it got the job done. On the flip side, there are a lot of wasted plastic pieces in a kit such as this, makes one wish these manufacturers could be a little more specific as to vehicles and not have so much waste. And they could absolutely do a better job on the fit of the pieces. Instructions were clear, but could be better in my opinion. Better kit than others I have seen, so I give it a good grade.
