Copper Samovar Tea Pot Set Electrically OperatedHandmade Real Copper Samovar (220 v)

I fell in love with the samovars the first time I laid eyes on them and Tubibu's samovars had the best compromise between price point and old-fashioned beauty (the modern ones just look too... modern for me, they're pretty but I think they're no prettier than an ordinary electric kettle). These ones had style. The Samovar and its chainik (teapot) on top are all-metal with wooden handles and very sturdy, no loose parts on mine. The spigot turns a little stiffly but better that than too loosely and I imagine that will correct itself with time. This isn't a complicated appliance - it's heated by a heating coil in the bottom of the samovar's kettle like you'd find in an electric stove, controlled by a temperature dial on the side of the samovar. That's it. It got the water boiling pretty quickly, after that I turned it down to a simmer and it worked a trick. Keeps the chainik nice and hot. I tried loose assam tea in the chainik the first time I used it to see how well it worked and there was no leaf plugging the spigot/in the cup, but I'm going to use a steel diffuser in it from now on for easier cleanup. All the metal areas of the Samovar will get very hot (obviously). There's plenty of wooden handles to hold and I wasn't afraid of burning myself on the metal parts. Watch kids and pets around the samovar (again, obviously). The lid of the chainik has no wooden grip and will get hot, if you need to lift the lid off you'll need to use a cloth. The Samovar is great for boiling water if you just wanted to make a single cup of tea with a bag or instant coffee, too. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are in the US/Canada you will need a 2000 watt step-up transformer to operate the Samovar, because it's made for Euro/240 volt power. This is an extra expense (about 80 or so dollars as of the time of this review depending on the transformer you buy) and a bulky, heavy, intimidating-looking item (though the transformer is safe to use off a grounded 120v outlet) so be mindful of this if you want to display the samovar... and you will. It's made to be seen.

It looks nice but it's awful!! It was used already! the samovar bottom was leaking all over! I paid $16 to return it and it's almost a week that I returned it and they haven't refund my money yet!!!

Looks nice, working but the copper coating in the kettle is coming off showing the white bottom. The tea in the kettle does not get hot even though the water in samovar is boiling hot,I have to heat tea in microwave (mine is electric samovar)

This samovar was a gift for my son and his wife, and it looks even better in person! It is incredibly unique and stunningly pretty. I spent a long time searching for something different and beautiful, as all the other options I found were too simple. I’m so glad I discovered this one here! While it might seem a little pricey, you truly won't find a samovar this beautiful anywhere else on the market. It's so gorgeous that you can even display it as a decorative centerpiece when you're not using it. Just a tip for buyers in the US or Canada: remember to purchase a converter to use it safely!

I had to order this samovar twice, the first one apparently got lost in the mail? I had an event, so I was nervous. When contacted, the seller courteously and VERY promptly sent out another, expedited and without charge. Unbelievable customer service!! The second arrived quickly through TNT/Fedex tracking with no problems. The product has absolutely beautiful workmanship! Handstamped copper, perfectly polished. No leaking or drips. No crooked seams or wobbly bits. 10/10 would recommend!

The lowest quality Samovar I have seen They have used wall hanging screws for handles, unfinished plastic sticking out of handles, low quality plastic base, scratches all over tea pot handle The worst problem is you have to spend another hundred dollars to buy a 100v to 220v converter Where are you guys making these crappy product? You do not know that we need 110 v in US. There are so many other options for tea and boiler set. Do not buy this!!!

This is a beautiful Turkish samovar. Works exactly as advertised and we have no complaints. This is the replacement as the first was lost during shipment. I contacted amazon and the seller and within a day the replacement was shipped. The communication with the seller was amazing and we are already looking at other items that the seller has on amazon. Thank you again for the beautiful yeah pot.

It came exactly as pictured. So beautiful and easy to assemble. Also came with a copper cup and maroon bag. The seller was very nice and stayed in contact to make sure I had a converter and received the samovar in good condition. It arrived in less than a week in great condition. Thank you so much!

Absolute disaster. Lasted a couple of weeks before it stopped working. Afterwards I had to chase the seller to send me a replacement part that I have to change - luckily I can manage electrical works, good luck if you can’t. As if that wasn’t enough, I had to chase the seller for months as the wrong piece was sent. Don’t waste your money, it’s way too expensive for what it actually is, the quality and how long it lasted.
