Beautiful, well-made coat, perfect for arctic weather and winter photos!
I bought this coat for a trip I was taking to Finland and the Arctic Circle. I searched long and hard for a coat that was both thick and warm, but also bright blue enough that it would look good in photos! Yes, I know it's vain, but I figured I would only go to the Arctic Circle once and I may as well try to look good! ;)Anyway, this coat delivered in all the ways I had hoped. It is extremely heavy (it feels like it weighs 10 pounds when you take it out of the package) but, when you wear it, it doesn't feel too heavy. It was easy to move around in and kept me COMPLETELY warm in the Arctic Circle (I had to take some layers off it was that good). It was a bit tight across the chest but I could still fit several layers underneath and when I was wearing just a sweater it was fine.My only complaint was that the hood when closed is just the tiniest little hole for only your eyes to look out of, and the fur around the hood is a bit too long. However, I mostly had my hood off, and found that when I wore it more loosely, it was fine. I think the tight hood would be useful for snowmobiling or skiing as the wind would not be able to knock the hood back. The coat was fairly water resistant but as you can see from my photo in the rain, it eventually did let water through and when it did it took a LONG time to dry out. However, I would still recommend the coat, it was stylish, durable, and a great value! I had so many people ask me where I had purchased it and as you can see I had a lot of fun doing a photoshoot in it in the Arctic! If I could rate out of 10, I'd give it an 8.5 but since there are only 5 stars I gave it full marks because it's still a great buy!

Gorgeous Coat!
I needed a slightly longer, WARM, winter coat and this is exactly what I wanted! I ordered the "grape" color which is actually more of an aubergine/deep burgundy color. Definitely not purple. So in my opinion, the color online is true to the color in person. The length of the coat hits me right at my knees and slightly below my kneecap and I'm 5'4", so it definitely comes well past my butt but doesn't come to my shins. This coat is heavy and absolutely feels like real down but is Vegan friendly so it doesn't contain any goose feathers and feels very warm and insulated. The hood is large, lined with fur, and adjustable with bungee toggles. It also has functional snaps if you want to minimize the fur lining covering your face and I found the coat quite roomy. The waist also has adjustable bungee cord toggles and the zipper on the coat is quite sturdy.I ordered a 3x and I feel that the coat is true to size. I'm a bit larger in the belly and have hips and a booty and I didn't want anything tight or to feel like I was "struggling" which is what I thought would happen with the 2x. For reference, I have a Land's End coat in a 2x that fits just fine but isn't as long, or as warm. If your measurements lean towards size 22/24, order the 3x. If your coats are mostly 18/20 and you don't have a large belly or hips, order the 2x.This coat also has MEGA pockets everywhere! 2 inside, 4 outside, plus 1 on the upper arm, and a secret zipper pocket near the cuff. The sleeve has sweater-like stretchy cuffs with thumb holes!!! Which I think is great! The coat also says that it is waterproof and windproof with reflective piping so that cars can see you at night which is another great feature. My ONLY complaints with this coat is that the hood is not removable and that the zipper isn't a 2-way zipper but there are snaps that run the full length of the coat.I honestly have not worn this coat outside yet because it hasn't been cold enough but as soon as the temperature hits 25 degrees or lower, I'll wear it and update my review if it's not as warm as another pure down coat that I own. That coat is still very warm and functional but it's also over 15 years old, so I felt I needed an upgrade.Take a chance with this coat. I don't think you'll be disappointed.Hope this review was helpful.

Very heavy jacket
Loved the jacket, ran smaller than expected but luckily I had ordered a larger size. Zipper does stick and will not go up all the way, unexpected for a jacket of this high quality. On the other hand, very warm, blocks the wind wonderfully. Very heavy.

great coat
it came just in time for the winter storm and temperatures with wind chill at -4 degrees. it kept me very warm. loved the hood.drawbacks are would like a little snugger fit around the wrist. Also, i purchased a 4x in case they ran smaller. my butt is large and my belly is to. i’m shaped like an “S” from the side view😁. so the coat is spacious in arms, chest, and upper abdomen. its well fitting in thigh, butt (maybe a smidge of room).it’s a quality product and I would purchase again and recommend to others. i

Super warm and Stylish! Pockets are super teeny thou. Dry clean only! :C
This coat was everything I wanted and needed in a winter coat! Super warm and stylish! The furred lined hood is designed to block out icy winds or can zipped up to act as a scarf. It was long enough to cover my bottom and mid thigh- (I got a X2 large) and it blocked the wind out like a solid wall. After getting it in the mail I put it on and instantly started to get overheated. So you can wear a light sweater or long sleeved shirt under it and not get a chill. BUT the pockets are a J O K E. I was so upset, these pockets DO NOT keep your hands warm and not very large either. The phone pocket is so small that I could maybe use it as a pen holder. I just fit my gloves in the side pockets along with my car keys. So! If you want something just to keep you warm and toasty in a blizzard this is the coat for you and its very stylist too! The color of my coat was grape but it had more a red hue to it than purple.UPDATE!This coat is dry clean ONLY do not wash this in your machine OR dry it! The dryer will melt the fur ruff around the hood turning it into a matted nightmare. I managed to comb it out a bit so it doesn't look terrible and some of the metal end for the strings to tighten the hood fell off including a few buttons here and there. So you have been warned.

Comfortable in -24C, shovelling, waiting or walking
Can’t feel the cold in -24C and it is a very comfortable cut for shovelling or walking. This is a long review for anyone hesitating to spend the money like I was.First off, I assure you this isn’t like a “parka” from a plus size clothing store in the mall. It really is made for being outside for hours in a Canadian winter.Note it is a Canadian company and you can get it from them directly - I could only find this one in stock on Amazon at the time. The size is similar to about a 2x at Pennington’s or Talbots to me but store sizes are all over the place so I suggest measuring yourself especially for the length. It is roomy and has lots of room for fleece or sweater.Unzips ok for public transit now but would be hot and bulky in a crowded train or bus if you have a long commute. It’s also too warm for keeping on in the car or shopping. This is a coat for being outside in the cold. The hood is full but comfortable, looks good down and (when down) you doesn’t block when you try look behind you. The colour is nice, the same blue as straight sizes, easier to see than black or white against snow at night. The black fur against the blue is fine though brown would look more like a parka. It is sportier and outdoors-ier looking than on the model pictured above. The shipping was fast and it arrived in perfect condition.Haven’t worn it in a serious wind chill or tried to clean anything off it yet.

Very warm!
I wore this beautiful coat over my chiffon dress christmas eve and was super warm in it! The colour and the black fur were very pretty. It fits true to size and is very comfortable. I would highly recommend this and would buy it again in another colour.

Very warm
I got the coat in blue. It's really nice. Well made, very warm. I'd say it would be fine to at least -20C to -30C. It's a tad warm to hop in and out of shops, but great if you have to do a lot of running around in the cold. It's more than I wanted to spend on a coat, but I think I'll have it for many years.Size: I normally wear a 5x but the 4x fits me just fine. It's snug, but I can move around fine. Not a lot of room for layers. Mind you based on how warm the coat is, I won't need lots of layers under it.

I love it
Super warm and cozy. I was going to buy black, but then I saw a lady, around my build, review with herself in her pretty blue jacket, enjoying winter, so I bought the blue one and I just adore it! What a great colour! I could have gone a size down, but I enjot the extra space

Great jacket
Great jacket but was a little too long for me so I returned it. I needed something shorter
