Humminbird710275-1 XP 9 HW - HELIX Dual Spectrum CHIRP In-Hull Transducer

Added to inside of my hull for my Helix 7 to read at high speeds. Must buy a y connector to use 2 transducers.

I am using this with a Humminbird Helix 5 fishfinder/GPS/chartplotter. This was installed into the hull of a 2016 Yamaha VX Cruiser waverunner. I glued it in about 4" aft of the fuel tank, on the V-hull centerline. The transducer comes with a perfectly thickened, white 2 part epoxy (in a pouch). In my application, the transducer was not flush against the hull as I elected to bridge the internal "V" of the centerline (so I would truly be shooting straight down), so I relied on the thickened epoxy to fill that area in solidly between transducer face and hull. While I would have felt better with a little more epoxy being supplied, what was supplied was adequate and did not run while setting up. I let it set for 24 hours before use. My waverunner tops out at 54mph and I get accurate bottom readings even at that speed, which is remarkable for an application like mine. Very happy so far.

ALTHOUGH THE UNIT WAS DEFECTIVE, HUMMINGBIRD HELPED THROUGH THE TROUBLESHOOTING PROCESS AND ORDERED A NEW TRANSDUCER FOR ME. 100% PRODUCT ON SUPPORT. THEY BACK THE'RE PRODUCT. .

Great for my kayak. Wish it did down imaging though. I should have read more thoroughly.

Shouldn't have to buy another transducer to read depth while running! 1000 dollars for a unit should do everything or come with all transducers to make it work!

Worked perfectly to fix high speed issue with humminbird helix 7 loosing depth readings. Wish I had installed sooner.

Yes. It is a through hull transducer.Unfortunately. When used as such does not support all of the features in my helix 7 fish finder. Not mentioned in the listing.
