Perfect fit
I was not able to find this item in the stores and so I go them through Amazon and they are the perfect fit.

Easy to install
I liked that they were easy to install. We had been using felt adhesive pads for the chair legs on the ceramic tile floor in our morning room, however, these plugs work much better when moving chairs on the area rug that we now have there.

We cut a large wood and metal bookcase to use as a sofa table and then finished off the top of each metal brace with the plugs

FIT PERFECTLY
The plug on my bar stool was crushed inward and the metal was exposed and started to scratch my bamboo floor. These fit perfectly !

Not an inch square
These are 16th short of an inch square so they will not fit or not be snug in something that is a true sq in.

This is what you need to know...............what to measure and how to install
These are advertised as 1.5" X 1.5" cap covers, but that's not what you measure to buy the correct size. The INSIDE size of you steel square leg tubes is what you need to know, because that's where they are installed.. This product will fit tightly into square steel legs measuring 1-3/8" by 1-3/8" on the INSIDE of the tube. To install; remove any remains of the old "cap covers" that are being replaced. Turn the furniture item upside down on a padded surface. Place the cap cover over the inside of the square tube. Drive the cover into the leg with a rubber mallet if available, until it's fully installed. You'll have to wack it pretty hard. If you are forced to use a metal hammer, place a wooden block over the cap before you hit the cover with the hammer. A heavy magazine might work if that's all you have. The 1-3/8 X 1-3/8 measurement is critical. Why isn't this info on the Amazon website ?
