ibis 2B 1.8mm Art Mechanical Sketch Pencil and Lead Set 3 Colors

These pencils allow you to write and sketch like a calligraphy pen, producing a smooth transition from wide to narrow line. Actually quite fun to use! Apparently, the lead only comes in HB hardness, and I don't see any refill packets available through Amazon. Although I haven't worn one out, the pencil body and mechanism are all plastic, so probably not expensive to make, so getting more lead may not be a long-term problem, anyway. Also, be aware that the colors shown for the pencil bodies and the lead packets are slightly misleading. The pencil bodies and lead packets have red (or brown), blue and black colored parts, when in fact all of the leads are just black. Also, notice that there is no built-in eraser on these pencils.

I love the thickness and softness of this lead. It makes it fun to write and draw. Your lettering will look very dramatic with the thin/thick edges, and responsiveness to pressure that the soft lead has. I wish the pencil had a soft rubbery grip, but the smooth plastic is fine, and comfortable to hold.

Excellent product

Good pencils, but the "3 colors" refers to the color of the plastic the pencil is made out of. Perhaps more deceptive, the lead refills are in packages with three different color caps and different color labels giving the appearance of different colors ... but they are all black lead.

These are amazing! They’re flat and therefor way better to hold.Lead is thick and that’s exactly what I want!

I am extremely disappointed with the deception of 3 colors of lead!! What do you expect people to think when the lead replacements are colored, but only contain black lead!

Positives: is great for a person with dysgraphia and in need of a thicker pencil. I like the rectangle lead because it makes my hand writing look neater.Negatives: the eraser is incredibly small and does not last long.
