Sparthos Knee Brace for Men, Knee Compression Sleeve for Women - Black-XL

A buddy suggested I try out the Sparthos compression sleeves as he's been using an elbow sleeve for a few months & swears by it. I got the knee sleeve since I do a lot of running (at least 4 miles per day, depending on if I'm also working out or not) to replace my Copper Fit sleeves (they were ok but deteriorated quickly with all of the activity). After a month of regular running & working out, I'm mostly happy with the switch to Sparthos & will almost certainly buy this pack again. PROS: The sleeve holds up against anything I throw at it. There doesn't seem to be any degradation in compression, hold above/below my knee, or ventilation. I can see going with Sparthos going forward particularly as the cost per sleeve is less than Copper Fit ($10 for CF vs $15 for 2 Sparthos). When I first got the sleeve, I was concerned that the tougher material (closer to cloth than spandex) would limit my range of motion but this wasn't the case. I do everything I used to do wearing a Copper Fit. I might also go so far to say that after my workouts, I don't feel as much soreness in my knee as I regularly did with the Copper Fit. This isn't a dig at CF but I think that Sparthos has figured out how to grip my knee in a comfortable way that allows for stability and early recovery. On a cosmetic note, the variety of colors & the general pattern of the sleeve allows you to get the support you need while looking stylish on a run or in the gym. CONS: Not much to say here. I have been using this in the winter months so I'm wondering how much heat it might trap going for a run during a hot humid day. I haven't had problems in a hot gym so I anticipate that any discomfort I experience in the warmer months will be more me being lazy & less an issue with the Sparthos sleeve. Time will tell. The only concerning thing (that has yet to be a problem) is that I have hairy legs & see hairs popping out of the sleeve at the end of my workouts. The sleeve slips right off without any tugging on the hairs but the day it starts (especially if I'm mid-run) is the day I consider a replacement or other options.

I have been wearing these sleeves for a few years now to play tennis. I have a history of ACL and meniscus tears and surgeries, and was looking for something somewhat supportive and to help the joint stay warm during practices and matches. These have worked well. The measurements are true to sizing - I’m a 5’8” 150# female and the medium size sleeve fits well. It doesn’t ride or sag. My knee feels supported and they have lasted a long time. One has a minor pull after I snagged a fingernail in it when putting it on, but it hasn’t affected its function. These are reasonably priced and I’ve purchased a few different colors. I wash them inside out on delicate and hang them dry and they have not lost their shape or color. I do wish there were more color options available, and that the pink was more of a true pink. But I have the black, pink, and beige and they all match pretty well to my outfits. The beige blends in with my skin so opponents often don’t notice right away I have a knee brace either, which can help in a match.

Having used a bulkier knee brace before, I was looking for something less binding and less noticeable under clothing. Because the product is lighter weight and flesh toned, these have been worn under long pants as well as shorts and a summer dress. They come in a variety of sizes with a sizing guide to follow. I ordered the size recommended. They were comfortable and not bulky, affording enough help over several days to minimize the knee problem. However, the photos show irritation from the silicone (?) Used to keep it in place. I normally am not allergic, and was surprised to have this irritation happen, and even after several days the demarcations were still visible (see photos). I am pleased with the product’s performance as far as helping the knee pain relief (other than the skin irritation) and serviceability with all clothing. The product is reasonably priced, and two compression pads are included. They cannot be machine washed, but can be washed by hand. I have not had them long enough to speak of durability.

These knee braces are exactly what I was looking for and could NOT find at any nearby drugstore: a simple, skin toned knee brace that supports my knee and does not call attention to itself. Period. Others I found were bigger, longer, thicker, either black ,white, or gray, had extra doodads attached, or were just plain ugly. Thank you, Sparthos!

I love the product. My arthritic knee responded well to this compression sleeve. It is very supportive and comfortable. I gave it 3 stars because it became streatched out after only a couple months of wear. I only use it for a 2-3 hours 4 days a week while exercising. I have never washed it. I realize this compression sleeve won't maintain its origional tightness for ever but I was hoping for more than a couple months of usefullness.

Absolutely! Happy with a better fit than any others and definitely quiets the pain.

I use Knee Compression Sleeves when I run and the Sparthos Sleeves are the most comfortable Sleeves I have owned. This is the third pair I have ordered as I replace the my other [less comfortable] Sleeves.

Unfortunately, the knee brace has zero support. It stays in place, doesn’t slip down but there is no support to the knee; feels the same as wearing a pair of stockings. Disappointed that I cannot recommend this product. Sorry.

The material is light and while I was wearing it, I never felt any discomfort or pain. Usually, wearing knee compression causes pain around and behind the knee, especially when worn for long periods. But this!! something else. I recommend it (pay attention to the size...a little larger). Thank SPARTHOS. You well done. No sleeve/ties, no weight (skinny wear), no strap, no poking around the knee/under clothes while walking.
