When it stays 4-cup it is really talking about expresso cup size, I.e., demitasse. if you want to use it just for ground coffee it produces about a 6 ounce cup. Otherwise its great for brewing a strong cup of regular coffee if you want to make a latte.

Big Bang for the buck- & makes 4 cups
nicely styled and well made. Flat bottom makes it stable on the stove and on the table.Easy clean and the Chrome looks good, the handle is great too.... You can leave anything on the stove too long but at this price, you won't cry too long.

I never got the product
The company I ordered from substituted an lousy aluminum version of the machine. It is such a hassle to return it that I didn't waste my time, but it is a cautionary tale!!!
