Keep Searching for Another Thomas Sneaker. Don't Purchase These!!!!
The first issue is the strap. The velcro works fine, it's the hook that holds the strap that get's awkward. I was afraid that velcro tab would eventually snap off of the hook as it holds both the velcro tab and strap that secures the sneaker enough for it not to come off of the foot.We were willing to deal with that. What I can't understand is, how does the entire tongue of the sneaker disappear.. like really. Look at the pictures I added, there is no tongue.. He came home from school and on one foot, I could see his sock.Before you assume that this is natural wear and tear, you're wrong. First, he's only 4. What is he really getting into that would cause this? We purchased this shoe for him to wear for school which started in September. It's taken me a full two weeks to get around making this review so it's not even an old shoe. My 7 year old runs through sneakers like toilet tissue for a runny nose but she has NEVER came home with a missing tongue.. Holes, rips, paint, mud.. you name it. This right here is new and concerning. I won't be purchasing these brands again and I suggest you keep searching.

Each shoe is a different size.
Ordered a size 9...they are marked as 2 different sizes. Bottom says 9...inside tongue sats 8 crossed out in pen and a 9 written in...the other sats 9. One has a noticeably shorter tongue than the other. The entire mis-marked shoe looks deformed.Sending them back.

very nice shoe...but
the only reason i gave it for stars is because the stretch lacing isnt long enough when its fastened to the velcro it constantly pops of the velcro so my grandson wears them unfastened because he loves thomas so much but hes only 2

Holds up good but didnt light up
So I had bought these exact shoes from a box store in a smaller size and my son loved them. So decided to buy another pair in a bigger size. But for some reason these from Amazon didn't light up and the strap on one shoe seems a little off. But over all the shoes have held up which is always a plus with a rough boy. Also they were a good price.

Looks great, but not durable.
Great looking shoe, but not durable at all! I bought these just over ten days ago and already they are destroyed. The toe and sides ripped right off the sole of the shoe! Wish I could find a pair that can withstand my toddler.

Terrible Shoes
Only have had them for a few months but the tread as worn off on the bottom so my son slides on the floor, the velcro has stopped sticking so the shoe just comes off. What a terrible buy on my part

This show velcro very weird. Would skip it.
This show closes very odd. I do not recommend. You really can't tell from product photos that it does not velcro in the traditional fashion.

Very nice sneakers
They are very nice and comfortable if I could change anything I would change the velcro strap, make it a little longer. Other than that, very nice.
