Trayvax Axis Wallet

For months I've been looking for a decent minimalist wallet. The ones that I've found have either been _too_ minimalist (only holding a couple of cards and/or a couple of bills), or too bulky.I'd been through 3, and finally settled on one (and I do mean settled... I wasn't particularly happy with it, but it did the job). I was tired of ordering wallets (and spending money) and being disappointed. This one would be "good enough".I happened to come across the Trayvax Axis. I don't even recall how... but it piqued my interest. I hemmed and hawed over spending $50 on yet another wallet, but I finally pulled the trigger.That wallet arrived yesterday. Today was my first full day with it.It is, as far as I can tell, perfect. Everything that I've been looking for. The fact that it's adjustable means that I can carry a few cards/bills or add more. I'm not overstuffing the wallet or risking cards or bills falling out. I absolutely love everything about it. The versatility. The look. The craftsmanship and quality.I almost feel bad that I know this wallet will last me forever, because I already kind of want to order another one. Maybe for the holidays I'll treat myself to a different color or a different model :)Thanks for putting this out there. I'll be recommending it to everybody I know.

This is my 3rd Trayvax wallet... no, not because any of them wore out. I got the Original back in the day before there was anything else... the company was barely off of Kickstarter back then. It was/is a great wallet, but then they came out with COLORS, and I was never a fan of the sound of ripping Velcro. Still, it did it’s job, held up well, and can hold WAY more than they advertise it to.Next they introduced the Element wallet, which was a MAJOR step up. I had to have it, and so I did. I loved it and carried it for about a year. Then they introduced the blacked out version and I wished I’d waited. Overall, the Element was nearly perfect, had a more “elegant” look and feel, and yet maintained that almost ridiculous level of rugged durability. My only beefs with it... add too much cash and you’ll stretch out the leather band, so I was limited in what I could carry. My solution to this was the Element for daily use and my Original for vacation duty (when I’d carry LARGE amounts of cash). The 2nd issue I had with it was the thickness and weight of the plate, which I believe has most likely been addressed in the new generation.Enter the Axis. As soon as it was released, I thought this was the perfect blend of all other Trayvax wallet variations... rugged good looks of the original + adjustability in the strap and therefore the cash section. I waited almost a year from release to get one, and I’ve only been carrying it about a month now, but I do believe my excitement about it being the perfect Trayvax was well placed. I have yet to put it into high cash vacation duty but, from what I can see, it won’t disappoint.I love Trayvax, their products, and what they stand for. Take a good look at what your needs are before choosing a wallet. If you are predicable in what you carry, you can’t go wrong with any of them. If you’re like me, and your needs change, I think the Axis might be the perfect blend of all the other designs. The hardest part is picking which color you really want!

I have searched and searched through the MASSIVE amount of minimalist wallets out there. I think there are more brands of minimalist wallets than any other item in existence I think. This wallet beats them all for a few specific reasons that don't seam like a big deal but REALLY REALLY are a big deal.1. You can thumb out the cards individually. Like passing out playing cards you can push out individual cards with your thumb through the large opening in the middle. This allows you to select the right card you want which could be 5 cards deep in your stack without taking ALL the cards out. Trust me every other design (Ridge wallet, Radix, travalambo, nappawalli, etc etc etc...) does not allow for this. You have to pull them all out and go through them in various ways. About the 5th time you do this you realize how much you pull your credit card out and how extremely annoying it is to have to pull out everything every time.2. it is so adjustable. 2 nylon (think tie down strap material) strips are in the wallet. one hold your bills in and the other holds your cards. Both are adjustable through slots to hold a wide range of thickness of bills and cards. The bill strap has para-cord threaded through holes to use as adjustment. Both work Fantastically.3. It is really durable. powder coated stainless, tie down strap nylon straps, one brass rivet type hook closure, and they give a 65 year heirloom warranty on the wallet. So basically for life you wont have to worry about this wallet ever wearing out.This Axis model is superior to their original design because the original has a bottle opener type edge on it and I felt it would cut my pant pocket open one day. The eye loops on the end corner are unnecessary in my opinion I wouldn't care to grind them off but I could see how some people would like them. They are not big enough to get in the way or be a problem in any way.
