Go big by driving small with the ECX 1/36-scale BeatBox Monster Truck. This tiny intimidator delivers massive thrills with the same durability that has made ECX vehicles stand out among bashers, all at a price that won't break the bank. This vehicle comes loaded with everything you need to drive and include features that come standard on bigger, more expensive trucks. You'll get the reliability of a 2.4GHz transmitter with quick charger integration so you can get driving ASAP. You can even challenge a friend to race or bash without having to worry about signal interference or losing precision while driving from afar. With slow/fast throttle settings and reverse functionality, the BeatBox Monster Truck delivers convenient driving fun whenever you want to put the pedal to the medal.

Ehhhhh.....
Well.....this isn't a bad vehicle, but you get what you pay for here. I bought both this Beatbox & the Kickflip, I'll be comparing these vehicles to the only other 1:36 scale vehicle of this class: The Losi Micro-T/Micro-DT. For those of you who want the short nitty gritty:Buy this if you don't mind the lower quality & lack of modularity. If you want a better quality vehicle, & one that is hobby grade (can be fixed/upgraded), buy the Micro-T or Micro-DT.Here's the details for those wanting them. These 1:36 scale ECX vehicles are just "OK" in my opinion. They have the potential to keep up with Losi's vehicles, or even surpass a stock Micro-T, but several nuances hold them back. First off, the chassis/suspension/steering assemblies are pretty sloppy. Instead of using a shock at each wheel, the Beatbox & Kickflip both have two shocks up front, & one single shock in the back in a swingarm configuration (like a motocross bike). This renders the vehicles unstable in certain situations Second, the included tires are a tough foam. Yes, I said foam, they aren't rubber tires. I've had difficulty getting them to hook up at all, they slide a bit on carpet, and driving the vehicles on slippery surfaces like hardwood or linoleum is a nightmare. These vehicles don't seem to have a differential, so that makes handling all the more worse. In a final blow (pay attention here, nitpicky hobbyists!), these vehicles DO NOT HAVE PROPORTIONAL STEERING. They turn all the way to the left or all the way to the right, there is no fine in between like in other hobby grade RC's (like the Losi models I mentioned). These vehicles do have LiPo batteries, & IF you can get them to hook up, they are pretty quick for their size. The LiPo battery is charged from the remote, so you'll either be replacing four AAA batteries as you deplete them, or be looking for rechargeable AAA's. Finally, these vehicles don't seem as repair or mod-friendly as other RC's in this category. Now, the Micro-T & Micro DT can be repaired & modified/upgraded, they have features of larger Hobby grade RC's like proportional steering, BUT, they cost double or slightly over double the price. So again, if you don't want to mod your vehicle & want to keep your cost low, consider these ECX vehicles. If you want more, you'll have to pay up for a Losi. I'll keep mine & let my little nieces & nephews drive them under my supervision, but I prefer my (modded, of course) Losi Micro-T over these.

Not too much to complain about.
This little thing is pretty cool. It's super fast, a ton faster than I thought it would be. If there is one thing to complain about its the controller, but what can you expect.

Schade.
