Algo 8180G2 IP Paging and SIP Loud Ringer Audio Alerter (8180 G2)

We needed an alerting device for paging in a manufacturing environment. This did not work. It was too quiet for the space and the machinery. It is ideal for areas that are quiet or if you need a remote alerting unit. We connected it to 8x8 without too much issue, just had to contact support to get the SIP credentials for the account.

Build quality is FANTASTIC! Setup with FreePBX was a breeze. Nice and loud, sound quality is excellent. Super happy with this purchase!

Comcast told us that we could use an Algo 8180G2 for our remote ringer needs (loud shop). We bought it and had trouble setting it up. I called Comcast back, and they said that it should have been clarified that it has to be bought through them because the "pre-provision" it to work with their system and that they have to add another "seat" to the phone system. I asked if there was any way to be charged for the seat, but use the unit we had already bought and they said definitively not. So if you want to use the Algo 8180G2 on a Comcast VoiceEdge system, you have to get it from them and pay the $10 or whatever monthly fee they charge. While we never got the device working bacause of Comcast, the build quality looked great and the features were just what we needed. The ringer volume using the test button was very loud and would have been exactly what we needed.
