Betts 14-10 Professional Series Live Bait and Shrimp Mono Cast Net, 10-Foot Length, 5/8-Inch Mesh, Sea Green Finish

Really nice net, I hated to return it, but I ordered 5/8th's by mistake and needed 3/8th. I got the 10ft and Just for kicks I threw it in the yard a couple times and I was able to fully open it perfectly. I'm a 5'0, 98lb female :)

Over the years I have owned 30-40 different cast nets. When I want a quality net I go to Betts and have written several very positive reviews of the different Betts nets I have used. I paid an extra $40 for the Betts vs. a cheaper net. The 1st time I used the net one of the leads on the lead line came off. I could tell the lead line was melted where the lead had been attached. Looking closer I also see where some of the lead line is coming loose from the netting. Again this is on the first use. These are the type issues you see on a cheaper net after a few months use.When I got home and read the warranty it states if the net has been in the water they don't warranty it. This is a flaw you could not see until the lead came off during use. So I am out of luck.Next time I need a cast net it will either be a cheaper lesser know brand of net or I will look at trying one of the other premium cast nets for the first time. Surely they will be better than this net.

I purchased the betts net and unfortunately it broke away from the rope after 4 throws. I have less confidence in the nets now. And went with another net by a different manufacture.
