UPDATE:This is a cheap knock-off of the original Airleather I had for the WRX. The knob is 2-piece, the leather top is glued on and feels like it could be ripped off with one aggressive shift.The set screws rattle out after about 20 minutes of driving. One might say that you simply need to put loctite on the threads, except for in my car I have to take off the shift knob any time I work on the wiring harness behind the center console.This knob, because of its aluminum on aluminum held together via set screws, rattles enough to drive a man insane. I took my mom for a ride in the car and she asked "Whats that noise??" and I grabbed the shift knob to make it stop rattling... "Oh..." she said.I have removed the knob and am back to OEM. This used to be such a nice shift knob, so sad to see the quality go down like this.---Original review:---Has a great feel under your hand, looks super sharp, matches most interiors. Very good weight, great height. This shift lever is ideal for those who like to shift by grabbing the top of the shift knob. You can also grab the side or an angle quite easily as well. Very gratifying shift every time!I had one of these on my 2003 Subaru WRX, but it was the version designed specifically for the WRX. Basically what that meant was it had a plastic center bore, unthreaded, that matched the inner diameter of the Subaru shift level thread pitch. You simply twisted it on, it self-threaded, and it was SOLID.That is NOT this unit. I was really hoping for something similar, like a variety of self-threading plastic inserts with locking notched key or something. Unfortunately, this unit uses short rubber spacers and 3 set screws. On the install I took 2 of the spacers, cut the cap off one so it was a sleeve, and stacked them inside the knob. The position of the lower sleeve was perfect to thread the screws onto. Otherwise the set screws are grabbing the metal shift lever directly, which will vibrate them loose and rattle. (EDIT: in order to get the knob tight enough you have to puncture through the rubber anyways so this is useless). Ideally I would like to use a little threadlock on the set screws, but I'm experimenting with short-shift levers and didnt want to permanently lock this in just yet.I was also a little surprised when I darn near ripped the top leather half off. I thought it was single piece, but as it turns out the upper half is epoxied onto the lower. I do not recall this being the case on the Subaru knob, but perhaps I just didnt notice it. I installed it anyways, and have been driving it for 2 weeks now. So far so good, and this is with a very notchy short-shift lever, so it takes a little extra effort in shifting from 1st - 2nd and 2nd - 1st and I still havent ripped it off the base. We'll see. I'll post a follow up review if things go south.

Replaced the stock shift knob in WRX with this. Very easy replacement, took 5 minutes.Looks great, has a very nice feel. Lowers the overall height a bit too.

The look and feel of this MOMO Shifter knob is nice in my 2010 MINI Cooper, but after about 1 month, the center MOMO decal fell off and was lost (the adhesives failed); this was shocking considering the cost. MOMO dealer was not responsive, so I did not pursue this route. I replaced with a similar diameter disc (searched at hardware store), which is satisfactory--basically it was a plastic flip-cap used to cover a hole. the cap was detached and filed down to a flat disc that was epoxied into the space of the old decal.

nice piece...a supplied.extra MOMO badge replacement for the top of shift knob would have gotten another star!

I couldn't tell if this fit my Subaru Legacy GT by the description. I took a chance and it didn't pan out.

Looks great in my WRX. Good feel and weight to throw your shifter into the gears. Quality is excellent and better then I thought.
