Recently had knee surgery recovering OK, but still had areas of pain. An acquaintance mentioned this instrument turned the corner in her recovery. I got one and it really helped. It loosens up the scar tissue around in incision area. I notice results after the first time I used it. There is plenty of online instruction. My care team encouraged massaging the area, this tool really helps.

Feels like stainless steel, very smooth. Was concerned about sharp edges based on reviews from similar tools, but even though the edges were slightly beveled and not fully rounded, I didn't feel a scraping or sharp edge; it felt comfortable.Because it's smooth and polished, the shape doesn't provide decent leverage to firmly hold onto it when using lotion, but it's sufficient. I might consider a slightly different shape if I were to buy another one of these.It comes with a thick brown felt case that snaps closed to protect it when not in use.

Just started using it, think I feel improvement in my arm pain. I am optimistic about it!

This was a tool recommended by podiatrist and this is a sturdy well made device. Even comes with a pouch.
