I have read many translations of this book over the years, and this is one of the best. He was not the easiest writers to translate, not because he was a poor writer, but because he was probably one of the best German prose writers. I recommend this translation of a classic philosophy book.

I recommend buying this item, but Penguin books are somewhat fragile. I always receive them with a little damage on the cover, independently of the retailer.

Understanding Nietzsche can be difficult but the thoughts he wrote in this book - The Gay Science (Originally) comments about Skepticism to Religious morals and his most famous quote - "God is Dead" One of those few books that covers his most popular philosophy...

I’ve purchased quite a few books from Amazon over the last few years. This will likely be my last. The book was clearly used—in good shape, yes, but slightly worn and with notes inside. I think it’s time that I start supporting my local bookstores. They may not have the same number of titles, but at least they’re honest brokers. Sorry Amazon, but you’ve lost someone who WAS a loyal customer.
