Jumbo 7.75" Aluminum Carabiner Snap Hook with Soft Grip

My wife and I provide food, water and a shelter for a number of feral neighborhood cats. I have a large outdoor litter box fashioned from an old shower pan. The carabineers help stabilize the canvas rain-shield awning against wind effects by locking the outer support pipe to the handles on the wheeled garbage and recycle cans furnished by the City of Phoenix sanitation department. Common snap links are too small but these work fine. Easy to disconnect for weekly trash collection.

I like being able to get eight to ten plastic shopping bags on on of these things - or five in each hand to balance myself out. It's funny because when you get older you find uses for odd items that help make things easier to do. It's like a game.

Couldn't find one locally, thanks Amazon. I got it for my scuba diving bag. I wrap the straps around something sturdy on the dive boat and snap the straps thru this HUGE carbabiner to secure my bag. When on shore at the dive shop I hang my bag, fins, suit, regulator, mask from the carabiner to let everything drip dry and keep all my stuff together.

I bought this for my niece who is a nanny and does the food shopping. After seeing all the bruises from carrying all the bags I decided to buy here this and it did the trick. Great idea, great item!

I was really excited to try out this product. I fly and I carry multiple bags out to our plane and I thought I would try this carabiner to consolidate my bags. I was able to use this one time before it broke. I ordered two of them just in case, and they both broke after the first time I used them. The total weight on each was approx 10lbs. It didn't seem that it was a weight issue, on both they rotated forward of the stop and both broke at the spring/tension point. A big disappointment.
