Works okay, Model needs tweaking
I've had mine for 2 weeks now and wanted to work it before reviewing it. The overall performance is okay.I purchased the battery upgrade and found that it does not have a secure grip to the turning mechanism. The cutter would stop feeding and I'd have to push the battery back in line. I've eventually taped it in place since I want it electric. As for the cutting, the guards that hold the paper in place do not give a firm hold. I have a cardmate and the grip on this cutter is as slack as my cardmate after having it for 5 yrs and cutting over the 5,000 sheets of cardstock. It doesn't cut the 130lbs as stated or if it does it probably has minimal to no printing on it. I tried cutting 120lbs full color duplex and that was a disaster. It can cut 110lbs full color duplex though. It worked perfect with the different weight paper when it was blank. I cut printed sheets and find that most of the time I need a second person to hold my guards from slipping out of place before I hit power. I'd return it but I've promised to give a few people full bleed cards. This cutter works me harder than my manual cutter ever did.I'd recommend that these companies run practical trials. If they tested this version of the machine with full color printing they would have seen the defects I did. Hopefully this review will prompt them to correct the above stated as well as make it more durable. It feels very lightweight and because of that I really have to pet it. Also when powered, without a paper in it I've noticed that my rollers are not all rolling together. 2 sets of the roll as though they are egged.Overall the cuts are full bleed as advertised. Can only cut up to 110lb card stock if printed. Battery needs to be held in place for continuous power. And guards sometimes go off line. Would love to have a version with the correction made. That would make this cutter 5 star.
