We needed a reusable and reliable window cling product for an artistic piece during a holiday event. This seemed to fit the bill in the description so I ordered it. I have never worked with window cling so I was super nervous but this stuff is pretty incredible. I even ordered samples from other companies and it was almost ridiculous how much better this stuff was. It was easy to hand cut intricate designs with a blade. When putting it up, it requires a bit of stretching and pulling to get it right. We worried the cut designs would tear but they didn’t at all. We pulled and scraped and pushed and tugged at this film and it moved and flowed with with no problem. Using water with some dish soap made it quite easy to put up. The ratio has to be right. Too much soap creates more air bubbles. Not enough soap makes it hard to get it to stick. We used a really good squeegee to get the air bubbles out because we were covering so much space but found that a credit card works way better on the edges or if you get an air bubble that won’t release, just takes a little longer.We took down the cling after our event and plan to use it next year. It was easy to put the original backing back on. I will come back and update on how it works when reapplying.I had to unroll and re roll as I was cutting the designs. Took several days and it important to note that the product creases and looks like crap when you mess with it as much as I did however, this stuff is so great that with just a little heat It totally molds it back into shape. Even just pressing it with the heat of my hand helped smooth it.Because the art piece I did was so large we had to put it up at different times of the day. At one point it was really cold and we couldn’t get the crease out of one particular portion during the application. We found that using steam on the opposite side of the window heated it perfectly and the crease came right out without altering or compromising the integrity of the product. This art piece w funded by the host so lots of pressure and no room for error because so much cling was required. I was so relieved to have found such a reliable product. It turned out perfect and the event was a hit! Everyone was blown away when they found out it was window cling.

First, the product works very well. Easy to cut to size and install, and it completely blocks out light. I installed the product on a double hung window with 6" x 9" grids, so I cut a total of 12 pieces. I had a self-healing cutting pad that helped keep the product in place when I cut the pieces to fit, but you could also tape down a corner or two to prevent movement while cutting. Leave the backing on the product while cutting. Use a sharp box cutter or razor and a ruler to keep lines straight while cutting. Clean your window glass before applying the product. Per the instructions provided, after removing the clear product backing I sprayed a mixture of water and dish soap (12 oz spray bottle with 3 drops of soap) on the back of the product and on the window. A plastic collar stiffener from an old office shirt helped me start to lift a corner of the backing off without damaging the product, but you could use any blunt item. A small window squeegee smoothed out the occasional air bubble after the product was on the window, but you could use a small ruler or credit card. Not necessary, but my Bosch laser measure provided accurate dimensions for cutting to size. Hope this was helpful.

We all have that kid. “It’s too light out to go to bed!” So you can imagine my excitement when I saw this product. Full disclosure, I was too excited and didn’t measure well. But the results are... still incredible.Are there a few spots where I cut wrong? YesIs it nearly pitch black in my daughter room? YesDoes my iPhone night filter want to try to make it lighter than it actually is? Also, yes.Are the kids rooms messy? DuhI have attached two photos to this review that were taken at the same time. One is in my daughters room with this film. The other is in my boys room at the same time of day. Huge difference.I am delighted. Bedtime is going to be so much more simple now! I would definitely recommend this product.

The instructions on this are missing until it's to late. The clear film on the backside of the material that faces to glass needs to be removed first! I had to remove and re-install one of mine. Once it's on the glass it works very well. I also didn't realize a razor knife was shoved inside the tube until I was finished. Be patient for this installation, but work quickly as the water tends to evaporate quickly, and the wet film you will spray on is essential to get it to stick properly.

Was easy to cut and install but trimming excess material after it's in place gets a little frustrating. I followed instructions to cut slightly bigger than measured by adding 1/4 inch, should have only added 1/8" which would have been just enough to overlap the edges of the window.

It really darkens the room, but, installation and cutting is not fun. We ended up having to tape the sides wit black tape as material is so thick we could not tuck into the edges. It's not a real problem, for us, as we have covered with drapes, but, it doesn't look so great.

After installation, it gave off a strong "new shower curtain" type odor. After doing a bit of reading, this looks to be hazardous. Looking at the product page, there is no indication of what this is made out of, so I would guess PVC. I really don't want to take any chances with my baby's health, so down it comes.

Wonderful for the price. Seems to remove easy, and it's a breeze to install. Just make sure you cut it big enough. Really like that the packaging was minimal. Just a tip, that I didn't realize until I cut it already, tools are inside the roll. Even though it may not look like it, lol.

Blocked out all the sunlight as described, easy to cut and stick on with water like instructed, I taped the top to make sure it doesn't fall off afterwards. Nice!

Great product

We bought this to make our baby's room dark. It wasn't too hard to install but we noticed right away there was a fairly strong chemical smell to the product. After installation we went into the room after the door had been closed for the night and the whole room smelled strongly of chemical. The off-gassing of fumes into our baby's room where she sleeps 12-14 hrs per day does not seem safe. We'll see if it airs out with both fan and air purifier running on high, but if not, we will have to remove it.

The film is working well so far blocking the light and keeping the room dark. However, it has a strong smell that took 2-3 days to go away and we got this for the baby. It can’t be good for the baby to inhale it for days.We needed this for big windows and it definitely can’t be a one person job. Maybe some cutting line in the back will be helpful for us to make straight line cut. It was also hard to get the equipment out of the plastic pipe in the middle.I would be happy to order more as I need more to finish the job but am hesitant because of the smell and worried about my baby’s health. But if you don’t mind the smell it definitely does the trick to block the light.

We used this on some bedroom windows in our rv. It was easy to use, stays put and is total blackout. Great for the windows in the bunks - now we don't have to listen to the kids kicking the metal blinds all night.
