10/10 - Perfect Cage for Parakeets, Cockatiels, and Conures
Please upgrade and get your bird this!! <33 EXTREMELY solid investment you WILL NOT regret! Iâve had three of these over the years, and theyâre the best cage for a small-medium bird. The only thing better would be one with a top that opens if you donât have cats. Comes with four feeders and doors for each. Very sturdy. The white did not fade. Superb quality. The only fault is the top bars bent because the cat laid on it while we were out, so that needed to be mitigated, but the bars are assembled such that it wonât break because of that. I feel like the one in 2007 had highly reinforced powder-coated bars, and these are more like regular metal bars. Large access door. Very safe. Use a seed catcher and save yourself a TON of hassle!! It would be cool if this came with one, but no complaints. Always get a cage with wheels! Mobility is good, although the wheels always fall out after a year or so with this model / type of cage, even when I had a black one from eBay ten years ago. Thatâs okay, just be prepared! I suggest gluing in the wheels with hot glue if that happens to you because tape does not work. Good for bird health. My parakeet is 18 (90-100 in human years) and has always had this size cage. We are downsizing to a shorter one with similar dimensions because this one is a long fall for a very elderly bird in the middle of the night, but I wanted to review it because it is indeed an ideal cage for a healthy adult bird or pair. Excellent value for money. The wire shelf on bottom is legit and not flimsy like some of them.* Please place your bird near a window or an active area of the home, although a corner of the cage should be a quiet retreat where they can hide. I personally would not want to be in the corner of the dining room if everyone is in the living room. Covering should only be at night to prevent falling down when seeing shadows, and I donât cover the front of the cage. ChatGPT has amazing advice for mitigating screaming during the day, but personally mine is demanding about getting fresh food every day, even if he has a lot. Youâd be surprised how much quieter pet parrots are when you follow their routine and regularly acknowledge them in your conversations or when you sit in silence. They absolutely can develop bad habits, but they can be undone in the right environment with consistency. I always play TV for my bird all day, and mindful of when âlights outâ is for him (strict between 11 pm to 6 am or he will scream). Bird documentaries and Disney movies are his favorite. Having birds can be a challenge, and birds are one of the most commonly rehomed animals and often have several owners. Consider getting a bird from a shelter or PetFinder, instead of a shop or breeder. Consider how long that species will live. The Pionus parrot varieties are great for apartments because they are quieter, and parrotlets are quiet while as nearly smart as a macaw. Itâs best to only get a bird if you can get them out a lotânot if you have dogs and cats. At the very least, have two as a pair if thatâs the case. Two birds are twice as much noise and arguably slightly less likely to bond with you. It wouldnât be terrible to start with one as long as you give them enough attention. By leaning into their care routine and imagining yourself in their place, youâll have a long friendship with your avian friend! This starts with a large cage, and redoing everything inside often, like you got a new pet! Theyâll feel brand new too and make less noise, or at least fewer of the unhappy squawks!

My 3 parakeets LOVE it!!
When a friend gave me two more parakeets as buddies for the one I already had, the cage I owned that comfortably housed 2 as just too small for 3 . After seeing my friend's cage by this same company I knew it was the cage my parakeets needed. I found the cage on Amazon on Cyber Monday on sale. Purchasing it was quick and easy. It arrived just a few days later. Setting it up was way easier than Ikea furniture, taking me a little over an hour and having help just to support wall panels while I screwed them together for a couple of minutes. The cage glides easily even over carpet on the included rollers. Be sure when you build it to press them into the holes completely so the cage is correctly balanced. Also the pins connecting the top and bottom sections goes together better with a piece of wood or a cutting board to save your hands when pressing them into place. Otherwise everything is included and well packaged. My birds happily jumped from their old cage into the new one and started exploring their new home. They absolutely love it! This morning I opened the cage door so they can get out an stretch their wings, but they're happy staying in their new home for now. You could comfortably keep 5-6 parakeets, a pair of doves or Cockateils in this cage. The storage shelf has plenty of room, feed cups are well thought out, and it comes with perches, though I'm replacing a couple with branches and new toys to make it better for their feet and more natural. I'm looking forward to having this cage for years. And to top it off it was less expensive, bigger, better quality with better appointments than the last cage I bought at the local bird specialty shop.

Simply the perfect cage.
This cage came packed well, and it was in perfect condition. It comes with a sturdy stand with a tray/shelf, but we don't use it, as we set the cage on a table. But, the stand is very nice should we ever decide to have the cage be freestanding. We have a Green Cheek Conure, and he needed a bigger cage. This is the perfect Conure mansion for a single bird. However, it'd work well for a pair of smaller birds, even for Lovebirds.I love that it has a very large door that is hinged, swings nicely, and has a secure closing/locking mechanism. Having four feeding doors is a real upgrade over our last cage. We use the top feeding door on one side for clean water, so nothing can fall into into it to foul it. We put his daily fresh fruit and veg below the water. On the other side, we put his pellets on top, and his premium seeds in the tray below that. This keeps his discarded shells from fouling his pellets. It really helps keep everything cleaner. The tray pulls out easily for cleaning, and it's the length of a newspaper when opened and folded in half, so basically the length of a section of the paper. But, you'll need two sections to cover the bottom. I only say this because it's handy that newspaper goes in conveniently without folding, or any hassle. It's super easy to clean. It has a beautiful finish that appears to be powder-coated, so I really don't think rust will be a problem for years, if ever. We've tricked it out with lots of perches, ladders, toys, and so forth. I've never seen out feathered friend happier! It was worth every penny. I am so glad I bought it. I just wish I'd bought it earlier. I'd give it 6 stars if I could!
