TS100 Electric Soldering Iron DC 12V-24V 65W Battery Soldering Iron Set Fast Heating Intelligent Welding Tool for Electronics and Circuit Board Repair

I needed a new decent and reliable soldering iron but couldn't justify the money for a Hakko or a Weller so I decided to try a TS100 as I have seen a lot of YouTubers that are into electronics using them.The iron is actually very nice and pleasent to use even over extended periods of time. The iron heats up to 300 degrees centigrade within about 10 seconds which is fast. It's easy to use and fits in the hand well however sometimes with the power cable attached it can get a little akward when trying to use it in tight spaces.The iron if accidently left on has an automatic power shut off if not lifted / moved after a period of time.The reason I haven't given this unit 5 stars is due to its price... while it's very nice to use and looks great to charge over £50 and not include a power supply does leave a bad taste in my mouth.Speaking of the power supply... as I am in IT and do hobby electronics as a hobby I have a huge drawer packed full of old power supplies so was confident I would have something to handle the requirements of this iron.... first up was trying to find a PSU that could put out the 65w that the iron needed I eventually decided to use a old Dell laptop PSU... but then this iron doesn't expect the standard 5.5mm power jack it uses one that is a fraction of a mm less on it's outside diameter (DC 5525) so after a hour of searching my stock I finally found one jack that would work... so just be aware that you will need to order or have a suitably beefy PSU with the right jack.

Sicuramente non è perfettamente ergonomico, ma è un saldatore che a parere mio oltre a essere portatile, è superiore a un weller, velocissimo e preciso.
