Good dish solution if you are getting roof redone.
Had my roof redone and didn’t want the satellite drilled into my roof again. The roofers said they would not guarantee any leaks if they do. This allowed the roofers to install it where the satellite used to be. Directv was able to just install and adjust the satellite on the mounting system. He said it was easy.

Be careful
We were doing a reroofing project and one DirecTV tech said to get this as they no longer mount the disc base on the side of the roof through the 2 x 8 rafter. Got it and the roofing company worked around the location of the disc so that we were only without the service for one night. The tech that came to do the reinstall said he couldn't use it due to possible wind conditions and reinstalled using a much shorter post. Always double check on the tech making a recommendation, otherwise the product was solid and should have done the job very well.

Good design and works as advertised
Used this as the base for a roof-mount of my Starlink antenna. I really like the design of mounting this like a piece of flashing to seal off the interior and then drilling a hole through the roof into the attic. For my use case, it worked great. I ran the cable directly to my comms closet on the 2nd floor. Seems a little expensive, but it shipped more quickly than buying the Starlink version, so I went with Amazon.

Spread the load dryly
Recently had roof replaced. Had to have 2 sheets of plywood replaced because of satellite dish leakage at the base. The base of the dish had been attached only with screws and wrapped in shingles with a waterproof coating. I was told by several roofing people that this crap method is standard among roofers and dish installers. Unacceptable to me! The sheets removed were completely water damaged. This new base spreads the load and keeps water out. If nothing else it’s peace of mind that it’s not going to leak in an everyday rain storm and the load is spread out on windy days. In my case, the roof is the only place I can get a signal.

What a great product!!!
Well, it's been about 2 years now for a review. This product is great. I didn't want all the wires to hang down on the side of the house and didn't want the dish bolted to the eve. This product looks great and held the dish perfectly in the wind. I've never had reception issues with this mounting plate. I've attached a picture of it. Also, the kit comes to fit a variety of different dishes. So if you change companies all the time, they can still use this one mount. No more having mounts all over your roof or eve from the other companies. I have DIRECTV and it works great. We’ve had a couple of wind events with 50-60mph gusts, and never lost any signal. Just make sure to mount it centered on a rafter (per instructions).
