Made the mistake of taking cornbread in my cast iron to a function. (I know!) Never again.After everything was over, my cast iron got washed and the leather pot holder was lost. I was so glad to find this one to replace it! It's just perfect!

The problem I have with this is the leather is stiff so it closes the slit that the cast iron grip is supposed to slide into. I burned the H out of my hand trying to slip this thing on a 400 degree cast iron pan coming out of an oven.

This fits my skillet so much better than the last one I had. It is larger so it fits right up to the pan. High quality material and skilled craftsmanship.

This is a great gadget for dealing with heavy skillets.

The silicone ones we were using were just too big for the handles on our wok, so we took a chance on these classier ones in leather, and they don't disappoint. Vs the silicone, these provide a much more confident grip, reducing the risk of having the hot wok slip out of my hands. Their packaging is also gift-worthy. I'd buy these again if I needed to.

I like this handle cover, and I bought two of them for my PC cast-iron skillet. It would be nice if the company came out with a better fitting model since that brand is so popular. It works but feels loose and smokes if you have it on while cooking.

I have a 12” round pan with two small handles, not a skillet with a long handle and a “helper” handle opposite, so I needed two of these. Lodge sells a lot of pans like that, so I suggest you sell them both singly and in pairs. Anyway, they are perfect. I’ve seen complaints about silicone ones that fall off (that would be bad) but these stay on snugly without any problem. They are cut long on one edge to protect fingers on the bottom side and gusseted to fit perfectly. And they’re good and heavy leather so I can foresee having them a loooong time. A classy bit of usefulness in my kitchen and camp.

Insulates from the heat of cast-iron cookware very well.As with any other handle cover for cast-iron cookware, I recommend that you leave this cover off until you're ready to move the pot. This will avoid the potential for damage to the cover arising from flame or extended exposure to IR radiation, and ensure the cover's exterior is cool when you're ready to lift the pan.

This is a beautiful and well made handle holder but not practical for the stove top. It just gets too hot. Silicone is best.
