Nina Ottosson Dog Twister Activity Toy

Dog Puzzle toy.
I checked this out on You Tube before buying it, and it looked great.Mine arrived, and I filled it the same day to give my puppy something to keep him happy.I know Border Collies are intelligent, but he had all the little treats out in minutes. The dog has to pull out all the little bone shapes before they can get into the sliding draws.Well our dog just got his mouth round the edge of the toy and flipped it over. All the bones fell out at the same time, and so now he know to turn it over to get started. He can empty the whole thing in minutes when we thought it would keep him happy for a lot longer.Maybe the manufacturer should of made the toy so that its not so easy to turn over. Also the little black feet underneath have been chewed off.

good toy, worth the monry for dogs who need mental stimulation
Bought this toy for my Collie Mastiff cross in the hope that it would be sturdy enough to last more than five minutes. The toy is heavier than I expected and feels very sturdy when you take it out the box. It took a while for my dog to progress to using it with all the bones locked in but the good thing about this game is that you can use it without the bones so its almost as of it has two levels of difficulty, good value for money as it means you can still use it even if your dog hasn't quite figured out the bones yet. The only thing I would say is that my dog has strong jaws and when she lifted out one of the bones she's bit onto it to lift it and it has warped a little and has teeth marks in it. It is still usable but I know if I left her alone with this for a minute she could cause some serious damage to it, use this under supervision only.

Fantastic rewarding game dogs enjoy!
Clever Pug worked it out within a minute and completed within 2 mins, on the first attempt. This is our 3 rd Nina Ottosson game and worth every penny. It is the advanced level. You can reduce the level to start with if you desire.Sturdy, practical and safe providing you don't leave dog alone with small parts. Tbh part of the fun is you watching the fog enjoy it. My Golden retriever has the brown one while our King Ch Cav has the Casino blue one, all filled with hotdog slices . The smell drives them on and it's a frantic race of clawing, mouthing, tail wagging and smiling from them wide eyed while they race against each other at the same time.

Dogtastic!
Fabulous toy, took very little time for my dog to master it & she loves it. Very sturdy and larger than I expected, very nice bright colours. The bones lift out, which was the hardest part for my dog to learn, then the sections slide across where your dog will find their treats. To start off, I removed all the bones and just trained my dog to slide the pie shape pieces, then after she mastered this, literally after 5 mins, I replaced the bones and showed her what to do, it took a little longer for her to remove the bones, but she mastered it eventually. She was shattered afterwards, using all that brain power was hard work, she slept loads afterwards lol. Definitely recommend this for your pooch.

NO- full of fun!
Full approval from five year old labradoodle! She gets cross if I leave one single bone off and has not yet efficiently opened twisted the covers in order. However, she gets all the food out quite quickly, digging away at the covers after neatly removing all the bones, something she taught herself to do, and is just as keen to go back to it as she was the first day. I leave the mini-shovel by the side and she will not touch the kibble in that as it is no challenge! I have gradually moved to leaving no food in a bowl and putting it all in the twister and the NO Tornado, as she finds these toys address her instincts to hunt for food, I guess!!!!!!!

It took my year old black lab 4 attempts to figure this out, and she loves it. I started by putting treats under the bones so she learnt to pull those out first and then moved onto putting treats in the compartments. She attacks the game with her paws trying to move the covers around but it's hardy and is standing up to her enthusiasm. She has occassionally wanted to sit and chew one of the "bones" once she has finished the treats so I put it all together and pack it away once she's found all the treats.

I have an attention demanding Cairn, a supposedly intelligent creature so when I saw this on offer I HAD to get it.The twister is surprisingly well made and challenging even for the Human who hasn't checked the instructions. When I figured it out I called Dog over to have a go and, quite frankly, she got angry at it.I did the whole 'LOOK!' *lift up bone, move thing, close thing, bone back* - nope. So I removed all the bones, Dog has sort of worked out how do it but I'm not sure Dog is level 3 material yet. I'm not sure Dog is even level 1.I

Love it
Since we got this our dog refuses to have his dry food in a bowl. He only eats it if we put it in this toy. He really loves it. Have had another by the same maker before and he enjoyed that too. We swap them for variety. Highly recommend and will be buying another from their range. Well pade too so would be OK for big dogs and ones that chew a lot.
