Very impressed with this unit. Good quality great buy
Wow what an awesome seller..!!! The DRO is of very nice quality. I just received it today. I will follow up with an accuracy review. I can see these units are well built. Packing is well cared for. Shipping was less than 5 days. This is not a fake review. If you look at my profile I don't hardly leave reviews unless I'm very impressed with product and customer service. I will be buying a second DRO system from here for the milling machine. Magnetic scales are the way to go. Better than glass scales. Thanks so much.

ABSOLUTE BEST home shop DRO on the market!!!
The media could not be loaded. I have a D80 DRO with 1micron scales on both my Grizzly G0704 mill and my Precision Matthews PM1228 and I don't think there is a better DRO on the market unless you want to spend 2-3 times more money. I have had the DRO on my mill for about a year now and just recently put the same setup on my lathe. The precision of the 1micron scales is awesome, I can easily make parts in my home shop with incredible accuracy beyond what any of my tools can measure (and I have all Mitutoyo/Insize/Starrett/Brown & Sharpe measuring tools). I can make parts with confidence and know that everything will fit together upon assembly. I have used other DRO's and they just don't compete. Here is my Pros & Cons:Pros:-Large LCD screen that you can customize the color & location of shortcuts-Accuracy-Ease of installation *for magnetic scales*-the ability to consistently locate to 0.0001" (lot of others make it hard to hit the same number or they are jumpy this is smooth and I can easily dial it in to exactly 0.0000 without having to try multiple times-has all the same capabilities you expect in a DRO such as tool library (lathe only), bolt circles & arrays, 1/2 function, radius cutting, pocketing, etc-retains location even with power off, so when working on a project for multiple days you don't lose location, you can even unplug, move the carriage/cross slide, plug back in and pick up right where you left offCons:-The Z axis in lathe mode can only be set as Y axis, not a big deal to me but would be nice to be able to change to say Z instead of Y-Not a con but wish you could name the sub coordinates instead of just SDM 1-199, it would be useful for either using for a mill tool library (for differing z heights) or for repititive parts with several setups. I just make note of which SDM is what but would make it easier if you could label them with a short description such as rotary table center/vise fixed jaw/OP#1 zero/etcNot really any drawbacks honestly. By far the best investment for both my Mill and Lathe and would not hesitate to buy again!!!
