Great story and lovely illustrations

Little girl seemed to like the book

Used this book with my year 1 class, they all loved it and got so much out of it. Have now brought it home and my own two boys want to read it every night! Super illustrations and we were all amazed that it is based on a true story. Fantastic!

Wonderful book for young children.

I bought this as a present, but read it before I packed it up! Its a lovely story, beautifully illustrated, and any child would love having it read to him or her. Recommended for Christmas and Birthday presents for children 5+ upwards. Adult children will enjoy it too!

A beautifully illustrated and written picture book. I am using it as a text for writing a range of genres in a Year Two class. Fabulous!

I just ordered this book and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. My 5-star rating is based on the fact that everything Jane Ray touches is superlative. Her artwork is charming beyond my ability to describe, and the books she works on always impart great messages. It's great to be able to trust that in a children's book author/illustrator! I will check back and add to this review after I receive the book.(Later)Yes indeed, Jane Ray does not disappoint. We love Zeraffa and the artwork is gorgeous!

Delightful children's book...beautifully written and illustrated. Held my two grandchildren's attention completely and was interesting to learn that it was a true story! Highly recommend. I keep finding my 6-yr. old grandson sitting in a corner with the book on his lap studying each page!

Excellent book. Beautiful illustrations that create new conversations with my daughter. I really enjoy the fact that it is based on a true historical event.
